Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub REVIEW

Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub is one recently bought product which i purchased sometime back. I dont use it daily though, but i try to use it at least once on alternate days. It contains 100 g of the product and is priced INR Rs 240. The container is tube shaped and plastic made, so i guess you wont have much of a fuss to carry it around, though no idea if the product leaks as i never travelled with this.

What Neutrogena claims about Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating scrub ? : Helps to effectively elimiate blackheads from the very first use, and prevents their return, for clear and healthy looking skin.

Microbeads that can effectively, yet gently exfoliate skin.

Blackhead fighting complex, penetrates deep into pores to dissolve excessive oil to help eliminate stubborn blackheads. Prevents new ones from forming with continuous use.

The scrub is not too creamy and not runny, medium consistency i would say. Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub is white in color with orange granules in it. The granules are very finely milled. It forms lather upon rubbing on the skin. The skin feels soft and refreshed after washing face with this, but i have not noticed any kind of blackhead elimination on the skin after using this. It got a mild smell too.

As this is a daily scrub, i think this is very gentle on the skin. However, Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub fails to remove blackheads from the skin. It works as a good facial cleanser, and thats all. I have oily skin, and after an hour or so, the oiliness comes back. So cant give stress on the deep cleaning of the skin too.

No i wont repurchase this product in near future as this works as just face wash for me and nothing else.

REVIEW : Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream

Today i shall be reviewing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream. It comes with an outer white packaging, with the product in a white tube with grayish lid. It comes in a 15 g pack and is priced at INR 250.

Ingredients : Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Silica, Magnesium Aspartate etc.

What Neutrogena claims about Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream? : Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream is a daily eye cream that helps energize skin around the eye area for brighter and fairer looking eyes.

·         Yeast extract – Helps reduce under eye puffiness.

·         Natural minerals – Helps condition and energize skin.

·         Mica – Visibly brightens appearance of eye areas.

For your best fairness results, use in conjuction with range of Neutrogena Fine Fairness products.

So the product is white in color and is creamy but absorbs really well. Generally my mother uses it once a day, and just after application we have noticed the skin around the eyes starts getting tighter and firmer and she can feel the skin getting taut. She does not have much under eye circles, so don’t really know if the brighter fairer under eye area claim is true of Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream. However, on puffiness of the eyes, this product fails to deliver any satisfactory results. It has got a light fragrance.

Since the eye area get so stretched after application of the eye cream, there is a chance of increased wrinkle formation. Overall, i am not at all happy with the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream. Also the technique of pulling the skin to reduce under eye bags does not really help! I wont ever repurchase this product.

After using various sunscreens and sunblocks from Lotus Herbals, I purchased the Neutrogena sunblock this time. Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+ (PA +++) costs INR Rs 150 for 30 ml tube.

What Neutrogena claims about Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ : Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+ (PA +++) is a breakthrough in sun protection.

Stabilized withHelioplex™ Technology it provides superior balanced broad spectrum protection against skin aging UVA and burning UVB rays and combines it with Dry Touch Technology for an ultra light, non shiny finish. This light weight sun block has a light fresh scent and is gentle enough even for sensitive skin. broad spectrum uva - uvb PA+++ (uva protection rating)

I feel a bit greasiness and oiliness after using this sunblock, which I did not expect. Also though Neutrogena claims that Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+ (PA +++) delivers a non-shiny look, but its not totally non-shiny as you can see from the picture posted below.

If you are having dry or combination skin, then this Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+ (PA +++) is the right sunblock for you as this makes the skin much softer and moisturises the face without drying the skin. This sunblock wont cast a whitish cast on the face and absorbs within a moment. It has a mild fragrance. The pack is travel-friendly, since it comes in a small tube.

My skin did not break out after using this Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+ (PA +++) but I am uncomfortable with its greasiness (even though less). The sunblock contains various chemicals, so its better to go for a skin patch test before using on the face. Since the sunblock contains SPF 50+ and has Helioplex which delivers high protection from the sun rays.

No I wont re-purchase the product again.
