Oriflame Feet-Up Advanced 2 in 1 Deep Action Foot Scrub REVIEW

RATING :- 9.5 OUT OF 10

Its important to take care of your entire body just like you do take care of your face. And feet is one of the most neglected body parts. Today i will be reviewing a foot scrub, and yes it is very important to use a scrub for your feet just like you use face scrubs and body scrubs or body polishers. Oriflame Feet-Up Foot Scrub comes in a 100g tube and costs INR Rs 379. It comes in a gray squeezy tube with an orange cap. Got a mild minty fragrance.

What Oriflame claims about the Oriflame Feet-Up Advanced 2 in 1 Deep Action Foot Scrub ? : Advanced scrub with anti-bacterial Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil exfoliates rough skin while helping to protect against foot odour. Combining intensive care complex with Shea Butter and Urea this rich exfoliant removes dead skin cells and hydrates tired feet.

Ingredients : Aqua, Glycerin, Urea, Polyethylene, Cetearyl Alcohol, Menthol, Sodium Citrate, Jojoba Esters, Linalool, Bisabolol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Backhousia, etc

How to use ? : Apply to clean feet, let sit for 2-3 minutes. Massage and gently scrub in, concentrating on dry areas. Rinse off with warm water to reveal softer feet.

So usually i use this foot scrub once a week, on my wet feet. I jus damp them with water and then apply a dollop of the product and start massaging and after 2 minutes i just wash it off with plain water. I have noticed a big difference immediately after i used this Oriflame Feet-Up Advanced 2 in 1 Deep Action Foot Scrub. The harder portions of my feet immediately got softer and smooth, dry cells were gone. Dry white patches on the skin were not visible anymore. One more thing that i love about this feet scrub is that it hydrates the skin and does not strip off all the moisture from skin unlike usual scrubs. Its a very gentle exfoliator for skin i would say, however does the work perfectly.

The product is kind of creamy and is white in color with some orangish micro-beads in it. Oriflame Feet-Up Advanced 2 in 1 Deep Action Foot Scrub really works as it claims to work. Very happy with this one and definitely i would repurchase this soon. However one tube is going to last really long it seems as i use just once a week. The packaging is not very travel-friendly being a squeezy tube. If you are buying from Oriflame representatives this product might cost less, since i got this from online i did not get any discounts though.

Stilettos? NO NO!

Stilettos are really very fashionable, and makes you look and feel beautiful and glamorous anytime. However, you may not know, but stilettos are quite harmful for your health. Here are the adverse effects of wearing stilettos.

·         High heels cause muscle strain on the joints and tendons in the ankles and knees and also on the legs and lower back portion. If you are wearing heels regularly, it can damage the joint and muscle permanently, leading to osteoarthritis.

·         Stilettos which are razor thin need a lot of balance if you are wearing one. This can destabilise the ankle and make it move outward which may cause sprains.

·         Wearing heels can cramp toes leading to deformities on the forefoot.

Low heels like one inch ones put more pressure on the knees. This can lead to degeneration in joints. So the higher the heels are, it causes more pressure on the feet.

·         Calf muscles may get shortened if you wear high heels. It also results in thickening and tightening of Achilies tendon. So even if you take off your shoes after sometime, that wont relieve the stress from your legs.

·         Wearing high heels everyday  makes the woman change her gait. Changing shoes may decrease the pressure on your knees and ankles but then can cause injury and tear the Achilies tendon.

So, if you are fond of wearing high heels, one thing that you can do immediately is that wear short heels which are not more than 2 inches. To prevent further injury,  try not to wear high heels much. If its very necessary to wear high heels, then go for heels which are thicker and not very thin and gives more support. Also change the heels and go for shorter ones at times.

Cracked heels are one of the commonest problems that every one of us must have confronted with in our lives. They not only are a cause of discomfort and pain but also can make us feel uncomfortable. ‘Heel fissures’ is the other name of cracked heels. Cracked heels start with rough thick skin on feet especially on the heels, and can even cause bleeding or lead to infections.

Heel fissures are a result of extreme dry skin. Not only that, it might even happen due to obesity or diabetes or winter season. Harsh soaps, hot baths, too much of scrubbing cause dry skin which leads to cracked heels. Also, recently there has been a rising trend to wear more of flip-flops, which is often linked with the cause of cracked heels.

In case moisturizing the feet or heels and home remedies fail to work, go to a doctor. Ever heard of podiatric treatment? It involves a complete investigation of the cause of heel fissures and a treatment follows. First the dry skin is removed, then rich emollients are applied along with corrective and proper footwear. In some rare cases, medical glue is even used to put the fissures together.

If you want to go for a foot spa at home by yourself, go for it! Gently scrub off the dry skin. Then take warm water and soak your feet in that for nearly 20 minutes. Use a pumice stone to exfoliate the feet now. Rinse everything well and dry it with a towel. Now apply some oily cream or foot cream.

Every night you can apply cocoa butter or Vaseline or coconut or almond oil on the feet. Then wear cotton socks. When you wake up next morning, you will have softer feet, bet! Also use a pumice stone to exfoliate the heel at least 2 to 3 times in a week. Try to wear shoes which cover your feet properly. This keeps your skin hydrated.

Also it is essential to moisturize your feet properly every day. Do not forget to drink plenty of water each day. Take a diet which is rich in omega 3 fatty acid, zinc and also Vitamin A. You can also pay a visit to a salon for professional pedicure.
