Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle & Pore Reducing Cream Review

RATING :- 8 OUT OF 10

Today i am going to review the Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle & Pore Reducing Cream. It comes in a package of 50 ml and costs INR Rs 3800. The container is made up of plastic, and is brownish in color. The smell is awful.

What Kiehl's claims about the Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle & Pore Reducing Cream ? :Our visibly reparative treatment is formulated with Copper PCA and Calcium PCA to help strengthen skin's elasticity, an important factor to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help resist new ones. The result is a smoother skin surface, refined texture and visibly minimized pores.

Ingredients : Water, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycerin, Prunus Ameriaca Kernel Oil, Cetyl.

So i gave this Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle & Pore Reducing Cream to one of my relatives to try out and let me know the results. Have been using since almost a month now, this one really lasts long, considering she is applying it once a day everyday. The product is creamy in texture, yellowish white color, and smells weird and awful, the reason may be due to the presence of Apricot Kernel Oil. The smell however goes away soon. I wont say this Kiehl's anti-wrinkle cream would be great on oily skin, but perfect for dry to normal or combination skin. It absorbs well, and is not oily, however you wont get a feeling like totally non-greasy after applying this. There is no shine or anything. And the cream is kind of heavy. Usually, it is applied and kept overnight. I must also say, there were open big pores on the skin, like on the cheeks and nose, which drastically were reduced in sized after using this cream.

Now talking about the results, Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle & Pore Reducing Cream has definitely made the skin texture look much smoother and fresh, creating a younger youthful appearance. One should note that this is not for anti-wrinkles, like it wont stop wrinkles from coming and forming on the skin, but the appearance of the wrinkles on the skin decreases. I must also say, there were open big pores on the skin, like on the cheeks and nose, which drastically were reduced in sized after using this cream. Overall, comparing the results with the price, i would say i am not totally disappointed and might repurchase. So, you can definitely go and check this out for yourself, if you are above 40s and need something good for your skin without burning a big hole in your pocket.

Ayur Skin Toner Review

RATING :- 4 OUT OF 10
Here is another product which I would like to write about. It is the Ayur Skin Toner with Aloe Vera. It is for all skin types. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle with pink cap. The product is pinkish in color. It comes at a 100 ml pack and costs INR Rs 50. Now that’s cheap! So, is this product good to be used daily? Let’s find out.
What Ayur claims about the Ayur Skin Toner ? :  Ayur Skin Toner is a herbal preparation which :
Contains aloe vera, rose water and natural moisturisers.
Safeguards the skin against acne, atmospheric microbes and harsh effects of the sun-rays.
Reduces the pore size temporarily, tightens the skin muscles which makes your skin feel refreshed and invigorated.
Ingredients : Aqua, Glycerin, Mint Extract, Aloe extracts, Rose Petals Extract, Menthol, Methyl Paraben etc
Ayur Skin Toner got an amazing refreshing rose scent. But when you apply on the skin, it stings a bit, don’t know why. And you feel cool and refreshed afterwards. If used in a bit of excess quantity, the stinginess continues for a bit more time, before getting cool. It might be due to the presence of menthol, mint etc in the toner. And seriously only because of this i have stopped using this toner as it gets uncomfortable at times.
Yes, the toner does tighten the pores a little and is good to be used before applying makeup. Ayur Skin Toner is very cheap so if you are on a tight budget, you may like to try this one, provided you should be prepared with the weird cool feeling on the skin which i did not like it. So i wont repurchase this toner again.

How to reduce the visibility of pores on your skin

First and foremost, to help decrease the size of the skin pores, you need to follow a skincare routine which would help your skin get covered in all ways, like anti-aging, pores, pigmentation to name a few. Often oil and dirt which gets accumulated in the skin pores, make the pores look larger and bigger. So make sure you use a pore unclogging facial mask, at least once every week. Be consistent with this skincare regimen so that the pore size is shrinked. For a long term result, you need to be using face mask consistently and for a long period of time. Apply the mask and leave it upto 20 minutes, you can use it once to twice every week, or more frequently too.

For larger pore, a pore refining face primer can be beneficial. For oily skin, pores are more visible, so if you use a face primer, that will reduce the shine and also make the pores less visible. So take a beauty blender sponge or even a foundation brush would do, and apply a thin layer of the primer on the problematic areas. Let it be there for a minute. And then proceed by applying your bb cream or foundation over the primer.

After your makeup is done, you would obviously want it to stay for long. A long wear concealer will definitely help the makeup to stay on long without sliding off and can also minimize the visibility of pores. Apply the concealer lightly on the concerned areas and take a concealer brush or a beauty blender sponge and blend in well. Firstly apply the foundation, and then apply the concealer on the spots which needs to be covered up. This will help it stay in place for long. However, if you apply the concealer before applying foundation, it will run off your skin while applying the foundation, so never try that.

Pond’s Deep Cleansing Facial Foam No Blackhead Review

RATING : 9 OUT OF 10

Hey everyone, today i am about to review Pond’s Facial Foam No Blackhead Kit. This kit was lying in one corner of my dressing table drawer since long, and only last month i unpacked this kit for use and review. This pack weighs 50 g and costs INR 79.

Ingredients : Myristic acid, Glycerin, Potassium hydroxide, Lauric acid, Palmtic acid and stearic acid, Decyl glucoside, Glyceryl stearate etc

What Pond’s claim about the Pond’s Deep Cleansing Facial Foam No Blackhead? : Pond’s introduces its advanced Deep Cleansing Facial Foam with unique Volcanic Clay which is higly absorbent and acts as a powerful magnet, it draws out oil and dirt from deep within the skin, and with the soft but hard-working beads, aids in unclogging pores helping to visibly reduce blackheads. Skin is deeply and effectively cleansed to look smooth and magnetically beautiful.

How to use? : Wet your face. Squeeze a little facial foam onto your hands and rub with water until foamy. Apply to face and neck and gently massage. Rinse thoroughly. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water.

Pond’s Deep Cleansing Facial Foam No Blackhead comes in a white plastic tube with yellow on it. The outer packaging is made of paper, and is colored yellow and white too. It got a scrublet too in the kit which is white in color and got a small handle like thing. The scrublet again got two sides with two different kinds of scrubbers on it. The product is beige in color, with miniscule granules in it. And smells really good.

This product is really smooth when applied on the skin, unlike other scrubs which are generally rough and coarse. Just a pea sized amount of the Pond’s Deep Cleansing Facial Foam No Blackhead is enough for entire face. And after application, i use the scrublet to scrub my nose and chin and anyother areas on face which got blackheads or more oily like the T-zone area. The face feels squeaky clean after washing face with this. Yes a few blackheads too will disappear instantly. But if there are really big old blackheads peeking out of the skin, they might not go off that easily at one go! So, i guess regular usage of the scrub might help in that case. Or may be on alternate days. So this kit really works and i use this only once a week so don’t know if it would work better if used on alternate days.

I have oily skin but this particular scrub will help to keep the oiliness at bay at least for 2-3 hours. So indeed this Pond’s No Blackhead kit works. Quite satisfied.
