REVIEW Lotus Professional PHYTORx Intensive Repair Anti-ageing serum

Hello girls, i am back after a long time and today i am going to write about the Lotus Professional Intensive Repair Anti-Ageing Serum. This comes in a pack of 30 ml and costs INR Rs 745. The container is made up of glass with plastic cap and pump. It has got a pump dispenser.

What Lotus claims about the Lotus Professional Intensive Repair Anti-Ageing Serum? : PHYTORx Intensive Repair Anti-ageing serum is a concentrated blend of Ginger, Ginseng & Whey Protein extracts.
It helps stimulate skin-firming collagen to improve suppleness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Active Organic Ingredients :
Ginseng : Fight wrinkles and boosts skin-firming collagen.
Ginger : Antioxidant, improves elasticity of the skin
Whey Protein : Boosts collagen, effectively reduces wrinkle depth

Directions :- Every morning & evening after cleansing with PHYTORx Skin Smoothing Anti-Ageing Face wash, apply all over face and neck in conjunction with PHYTORx Skin Firming Anti-Ageing Creme/Skin Renewing Anti-Ageing Night Creme.

Now let me write something about what i felt after using the Lotus PHYTORx Intensive Repair Anti-ageing serum. This is an okayish product, works well to moisturize the skin and may be brighten the face a little bit. I cannot comment on the anti-ageing properties as i really did not see any noticeable difference in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. So, i will not be definitely buying the product again, however this one is a good product if you just have a tad bit of fine lines and mainly looking for something to moisturize.

Lotus PHYTORx Intensive Repair Anti-ageing serum's consistency is gel like, clear with no color. Got a slight smell which would be a bit similar to aloe vera gel. The consistency is a bit thick. So may not be suitable for oily skin. However, works fine on normal to dry skin.

Here is another product from The Body Shop. It is TBS Vitamin C Skin Boost. It costs INR Rs 1795 for 30 ml pack. It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump out dispenser and got a transparent cap. This has got a citrusy smell.

What The Body Shop claims about The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost ? : Best if you want to create instant smoothing radiance with a silky smooth finish. Its an ideal skin pick-me-up to enhance your glow and our favourite Vitamin C product!

Best for :-

• Dull skin
• Contains Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of Vitamin C in nature.
• Antioxidant Vitamin C brightens skin.
• Encourages collagen production.
• Improves elasticity.
• Works alongwith skin softening Vitamin-E to protect skin from environment.

How to use : Apply in an upward, circular motion after moisturizing for a smooth base and a healthy looking glow.

So i have been using this The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost for sometime now, everyday at least once. The texture is creamy when you take it on your palms, and once you apply on face it seems to be silky smooth as you start massaging on the skin. And it absorbs without a trace, flawlessly. The product is slightly orangish in color and dries up very fast. The smell vaporizes after a few seconds. This TBS serum wont moisturize the skin, and if you have dry skin, you would need a moisturizer to cover it up. I think this would suit more for the oily skinned people as it is non-oily and is not hydrating enough.

Talking about the packaging, its quite neat and simple and travel-friendly. The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost however does not have any SPF so you just cant use this alone if you are going out in the daytime. I think, this is fine if you are looking for a good primer or a makeup base. After applying the serum, skin gets smooth and the complexion looks clearer than before definitely, but cant really say anything about the radiance. I did not see any such visible glow, but yes the skintone becomes much clear and clean instantly. Overall, this is a nice serum to try out, but the price is a bit too much as i dont think this delivers anything more than a good makeup base and making the skintone look clean.

Votre White Essence Brightening Creme Scrub Review

I have used the Votre White Essence Brightening Creme Scrub for just about 2 times now and i can say this is the scrub you need for the winter season. Quite a nice product. A pack of 30 ml costs INR Rs 245 and i got mine from an online shopping site, and this one is a sample product which i got after shopping. This one has a nice mild fresh fragrance too in it.

What Votre claims about the Votre White Essence Brightening Creme Scrub ? : The rich creme based scrub gently scrubs away dead cell layer, impurities, dirt & grim leaving skin perfectly refreshed & polished.

Ingredients : Aloe Barbadensis, Papaya Seed extract, Rubus Fruticosus, Curcuma longa etc.

Directions to use : Apply evenly on damp face and gently massage/scrub in circular and anti-clock motion. Wash with warm water and pat dry.

Votre White Essence Brightening Creme Scrub comes in a white tube with white cap, however the sample comes in a tiny container which is also white in color as you can see in the picture. The product is milky white in color, and the consistency is creamy. When you apply on the skin you feel like you are applying some heavy cold cream or massage cream with few granules in it. As directed i just massaged the scrub all over my face and then after a minute of that i washed it off with plain water. I could feel the scrub is very mild on skin, and since its creamy based, it wont make the skin tight or harsh as usual scrubs might do. Dont think this is travel-friendly as the plastic cap is quite thin and therefore might crack anytime.

Votre White Essence Brightening Creme Scrub is a very gentle scrub, so great for dry skinned beauties. And obviously during winter, we need to retain the moisture of the skin, therefore this scrub works great. Am a bit doubtful though whether during summer this scrub will break my skin out or not, but anyways will have to wait till then to try and get the answer. Right now, am just loving this Votre scrub, and would love to repurchase this scrub again in near future. You can also try this out if you want something mild for your skin. However if you are looking for proper exfoliation, this may not serve the purpose. This one suits better as a daily gentle scrub.

Natio Antioxidant Serum Review

I have recently got this Natio Restore Mature Skin Antioxidant Serum. It costs INR Rs 1685 for a pack of 50 ml. It comes in semi-transparent white plastic bottle with a dropper on top. It has got a mild odor, nothing great, i find it to be not a favourite of mine, and to describe the odor i feel like it smells like diluted mustard oil with a subtle floral note to it. Weird one!

How to apply ? : Gently apply in the morning and/or evening under your day or night cream.

What Natio claims about the Natio Antioxidant Serum ? : Calendula, Jojoba, Sesame, Aloe and Lavender help renew and replenish smooth and refine facial features.
Helps brighten and enhance complexion.

Ingredients : Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Ceteareth-20, Rosehip Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Turmeric Root Extract, Lavender Oil, Orange Blossom Oil, Orange Peel Oil etc.

Natio Antioxidant Serum has been tagged by the company as serum for Normal to Dry skin, but then when i applied it on my skin, i must tell you it absorbs super fast, tremendously light-weight and after it absorbs you can feel no greasiness and no oiliness at all. So oily skinned girls can also try this out. The product got a gel like feeling when applied on the skin and is very light. It is white in color and very watery. What i  do is i just dot this on my entire face and then massage it lightly all over. I have been applying this only once everyday. The overall texture of the skin is more better and nice i can see.

Since this is an anti-ageing serum for mature skin, i share this with my relative and she has been using this on her for a week or so. But since she uses other skincare products its very difficult to tell which one leads to what effects in particular, but definitely i too feel her skin got better and looks healthy. So i would like to add that Natio Antioxidant Serum is an okayish product for maintenance of your skin looks. Dont know about the renewal of cells claim, but definitely skin looks smoother and brightened up with this. As per the price, the quality is not bad. I might try a few other skincare products from Natio in near future.

O3+ Agelock Booster Serum Vitamin-C Review

Recently i got the O3+ Agelock Booster Serum Vitamin-C while i was checking for some new skin whitening products. So this one comes in a pack of 30 ml and costs INR Rs 1350. The outer cover is orange in color and the bottle is plastic made, orange in color with a white dropper on top. It has got no smell of its own.

Ingredients : Aqua, Sodium Ascorbyl Phospate, Orange Peel Extract, Lactic Acid, Sodium PCA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract.

What O3+  claims about the O3+ Agelock Booster Serum Vitamin-C ? : O3+ Agelock Vitamin C serum helps in brightening and whitening the skin while unifying the skin tone and enhancing the glow.

How to use : Apply tiny dots of serum on the face and once it penetrates in the skin, blend it lightly and quickly all over.

I have been using the O3+ Agelock Booster Serum Vitamin-C for a week now regularly once a day. The complexion instantly gets brighter and slightly even once i apply this. The consistency is gel like and absorbs super fast, and might initially be a bit sticky on the skin but gradually that goes away too. The product/serum is colorless. The dropper somehow never works, so taking out the product from the bottle is a bit difficult every time. Since the product absorbs with great speed one needs to be fast while applying this. When applied a bit in excess, one might get a bit of pungent smell, but that goes away with time.

Since the winter is near, this works as a moisturizer for me as i have super oily skin, and yet sometimes around the lips i can sense some dryness. If i put on this, it acts as a nice shield. I have not noticed any break outs yet from the O3+ Agelock Booster Serum Vitamin-C so one can give it a try. However if you got dry skin, you need to put a light moisturizer alongwith this to get some smoothness. So overall, i find the claims of the company to be not totally false. It certainly gives some glow and brightens the face, but then once you wash off, the glow goes amiss. So i would say you get a bit of instant glow with this, not something permanent or long term. I however do not think this serum will brighten the skin tone totally, it might add some instant skin brightness though.

Shiseido The Skincare Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 REVIEW

Since the winter season is not far behind, i am checking on my moisturizer stock these days. And got my hand on the Shiseido Day Moisture Protection SPF 15. Now this one is a sample pack which weighs 15ml and i got this for free. However, when i checked online, i could get this only on amazon where they are selling this as a part of kit so i could not find out the exact price yet, but i believe it should be around INR Rs 2000 for a pack of 75 ml. It comes in a white plastic bottle with a cap.

How to apply Shiseido The Skincare Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 ? : Smooth over face after cleansing and balancing skin.

Ingredients : Glycerin, Yuzu Extracts, Ensulizole, Octinoxate, Octocrylene

I really love this Shiseido moisturizer because it is non oily totally and non sticky however hydrates really well. Generally we have this confusion that if its a light-weight moisturizer and is not that greasy, will it really moisturize the skin properly? But this one Shiseido Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 does the work perfectly. It has got a mild aroma which i like. The moisturizer is white in color and absorbs very fast when applied on the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple without any oiliness. Wonderful, is not it? Just the moisturizer oily-skinned girls like us would be looking for forever! I gave this moisturizer to my relative also, who got combination skin, and she loves it too on her skin. But this might be a bit light for dry skinned people, and then you need to put two three layers of this on your skin, to make this work really well. Also if your skin is dry, you can even use this during the summer as a summer face lotion.

Another thing that i like about this Shiseido moisturizer is that it contains SPF 15 so if you are going out in the sun, you need not apply any sunscreen separately as this will take care of the sun protection side as well as hydration. Shiseido The Skincare Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 is travel friendly too, there is no spillage or leakage from the bottle so you can carry it around. The only issue is the availability. I dont know if the Shiseido stores got this because online this one's availability seems quite difficult. Also i could not find this moisturizer in the Shiseido website so i guess they have stopped manufacturing this one. That is sad! I love this moisturizer a lot!

Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque Review

Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque is a very popular product of the company. I have read a lot and lot of good reviews about this so i finally had to try this out. It contains 28 ml of the product and costs INR Rs 1350. I purchased this online from a shopping site. It comes in a plastic tub container which is green in color with a white lid. It smells like of neem tulsi toothpaste, not a fan of the fragrance. The product is green in color and kind of creamy in texture.

What Kiehl's claims about the Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque ? : A protective and replenishing overnight facial mask that defends against impurities and environmental aggressors. Your nighttime mask to purify and protect skin. Kiehl's introduces Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque : this protective facial masque defends and replenishes skin to help reduce the visible effects of pollution. Formulated with Cilantro and Orange extract, this treatment masque helps skin feel strengthened against environmental aggressors while helping to prevent impurities from adhering to skin. With continued use, dull, unhealthy looking skin is renewed, radiant and protected.

Ingredients : Water, Shea Butter, Propanediol Butyrospermium, Glycerin, Arginine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Prunus, Glyceryl Stearate.

How to use ? : A tissue-off formula,to be used as a final, leave-on step of nighttime routine.

Now, there are various directions of usage for this masque, in several websites and beauty blogs, however i did not get any instructional from Kiehl's alongwith this package. When i looked into the Kiehl's website, i found the direction as mentioned above here. I had been using this face masque on alternate days, however after 3 days i had to discontinue usage. The masque made me break out horribly, and i got pimples again on my forehead and nose. Even though i never used the tissue-off technique, since i felt my skin got very oily after applying this cream facial masque, i kept it on for an hour or two and then washed it off with water and patted it dry with a towel. But even that could not save my skin from breaking out. I could feel my skin got oilier within few minutes after application and then this happened!

However, i am contemplating on retrying this product once again. So may be after a few days break, i will give this one more try, and might change the technique of using it. Overall, right now i am not at all happy with this.

Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque comes in a tub so it is kind of messy to dip the fingers in and take out the product, also i have long fingernails so this always gets inside my nails and then i have to clean it again. Consumes time and effort.

Unfortunately i am not able to sing praises about this product. Either it is not at all suitable for my oily skin which is acne-prone or may be just because its still quite humid out here. Anyways it seems i will have to make this work out someway till i give this away in disgust. Also the price is not cheap, so basically i am very much disappointed right now with Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque. This might work well on dry skinned ladies or normal skin and with repeated usage they might be able to see a radiant complexion, however i had to quit before i could see any results.
