Lóreal Paris Professional X-tenso Care Nutritive Shine serum REVIEW

Today i am going to write about the Lóreal Paris Professional X-tenso Care Nutritive Shine serum. It comes in a bottle of 50 ml and costs INR Rs 600. The bottle is made up of glass so you need to be cautious while handling it and it comes with a pump dispenser, does not have any lid or anything on top, so definitely not travel-friendly.

Ingredients : Linalool, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Geraniol etc.

How to use ? : For straightened or relaxed hair apply on wet or dry hair and distribute delicately from lengths to ends. Do not rinse.

Nothing much is written on the body of the bottle of Lóreal Paris Professional X-tenso Care Straight serum. However, it is an anti-frizz leave-in serum for straightened hair or blow dried hair. It also promises to impart shine to the hair. So i have used this Lóreal hair serum for a couple of times now, it is a bit oily when you take in your palms, and runny. After you apply on the hair, it absorbs quickly, leaving no greasiness or oiliness on the hair. Got a nice syrupy floral fragrance. The serum is totally colorless. And light-weight. The thing that i like about this serum is that it adds a bit of shine, and hair is definitely is manageable without frizzes and you get a scent which stays on for an hour or so on the hair. Now, i usually dont straighten my hair, and i have never straightened it before applying this serum, so i have applied only in my normal hair when it is totally dry.

Lóreal Paris Professional X-tenso Care Straight serum is a good hair styling product which gives shine and keeps frizzes at bay, while the scalp or the hair is not greasy and it does not even feel like you ever applied anything on the hair as it is so light and absorbs so fast. Hair fly-outs are a bit less, but obviously if you have baby hair, you may still face difficulty. However, this Lóreal hair serum is not one of my favourites, i prefer the BBlunt Anti-Frizz Leave-in Cream (READ REVIEW HERE). The reason is the Lóreal serum's effect is very short-lived, stays on okay for few hours, and then hair starts getting frizzy again, however the Bblunt one stays on longer. So definitely compared to the price of it, Lóreal is not proving its worth.

I will try someother hair care products from Lóreal, but wont repurchase the Lóreal Paris Professional X-tenso Care Straight serum as i am not that happy with the results.

Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream Review

Today i am going to review the Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream. The product costs INR Rs 450 for a pack of 150g. I dont use a lot of hair styling products as i am very lazy and really head out fast without much of preparation. Also i would like to mention, i got long hair upto my hips and its a bit wavy and can get extremely frizzy at times. Now lets get into the product details first and then will talk about what i feel about the product.

What Bblunt claims about Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream? : This versatile cream ensures your hair looks great, however hot, dry or humid it gets out there. It enhances natural movement, smoothens and leaves you in charge, whatever the weather.

Specially created for Indian hair.

Protects from the environment and heat styling damage.

Directions to use : Works best on damp, towel dried hair. Take a small quantity into your palms. Apply evenly, focussing on mid-lengths and ends, keeping away from the scalp. Style as desired.

Ingredients : Aqua, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Citric Acid, Magnesium Nitrate, Hydrolyzed Quinoa, Hydrolyzed Keratin etc.

So now i shall state what i feel about this Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream. The plastic container is black in color, and the product is white as you can see in the picture. When you apply it on the hair, it absorbs and dries without a trace. No stickiness, no oiliness after using it. And definitely i can say frizzes are damn well controlled by this cream. I dont have too much of frizziness in the hiar, but its not silky smooth too. And i have always applied this cream after shower, 1 or 2 hoiurs later, when my hair is not very damp but not totally dry too. A pea sized amount would be enough to last full day. However, i apply generally two times the same amount, since i want to ensure that i dont have to suffer frizzy hair at the end of the day. And trust me, this works!

The fragrance is a nice fresh smell. Nothing irritating or strong. The effects last quite a few hours. And i have also tested this product by rolling on the bed after using this, and when i got up, i found no frizz, and could comb my entire hair easily. I always apply this cream after i shampoo my hair, so i cant really comment, how this works if you have not washed your hair for a day or two and it is a bit sticky already! Also as i said i got wavy hair, i dont know if it works really well for curly hair. As curly hair got this tangle and frizz problem the most! But for normal wavy hair which has been never chemically treated or anything so far, this Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream is something which you can fall in love with.

Though it is a bit pricey, but quality comes with a price. And i think one bottle will last for 1 month easily. So worth investing, if you get 30 days of good hair, why not? Definitely i will repurchase Bblunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream soon! Overall, i am happy with the results.

Permed hair needs a lot of care to be incorporated in the hair care routine. In this blog post, i shall provide you a few tips on how to take care of permed hair. Read on.

·         Very importantly, permed hair needs deep conditioning. This helps the hair to retain the texture.

·         Dont wash your hair unless at least 48 hours has passed by, after your hair has undergone this procedure of hair perming.

·         For the first few days, avoid tying up your hair with any kind of rubber bands, or hair ties or tight clips. Those stuffs can reshape your hair into an odd shape with dents. Try to keep the hair loose for the first week.

·         Whenever you go out in the sun, try to wear a hat or scarf to cover the hair and protect it. Also if you swim, use a hair cap, so that your hair is not exposed to chlorinated water which causes damage to hair.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo Review

Today i am gonna review the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo which i have been using over a month now. I know, this aint a new shampoo, but you know i am always late in posting reviews. Lazy soul! Anyways, the shampoo costs INR Rs 185 for a pack of 215 ml.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Carbomer, Glycol Distearate, Disodium Edta, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Sodium Hydroxide etc.

What TRESemme claims about TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo? : Specially formulated with lower sulphates, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, helps restore keratin and gently cleanses to leave hair clean, shiny and manageable. When used together with Keratin Smooth Conditioner, it controls frizz for up to 48 hours and transforms your hair to be gorgeously straighter and more manageable.

How to use? : Apply to wet hair, gently massage and work into a lather. Rinse thoroughly. After shampoo, use daily with TRESemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner. Style using your favourite TRESemme styling products.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo comes in a red bottle with black cap. I usually use it 2-3 times a week. I generally don’t use a conditioner after shampooing, because i am very lazy! The shampoo is of medium consistency and lathers okay, got a smell but nothing bad or irritating, at least not for me. The shampoo is white in color.

Now, coming to what i felt after using this shampoo is that, it makes the hair softer and a lot smoother. But the smoothness and softness stays for only a day in my case. Straighter yes, but not that noticeable unless you already have your hair straightened from before. So if you shampoo regularly or on alternative days, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo will help you to get smoother and straighter mane as promised by the company. The effect is only temporary, so you need to keep that in mind. Also the hair begins to get sticky and dull after a day or two, so you need to shampoo frequently. Since i have long hair, i need to apply at least four times coin sized amount of shampoo on my hair. So this wont last really long. But this shampoo at least lives upto its promises, even if temporary. So, i will repurchase this product may be in near future. I like the shampoo.

Natural Hair Straightening Products for Your Hair

Straight hair is never out of fashion. Hair straightening products are and will be always in demand all over the world. However, these hair straightening products do have chemicals present in them, which leave an impact which is not always good on the hair. Therefore, natural hair straightening products are a safer option in order to get sleek straight hair. Right? Many of these natural hair straightening products are present in your kitchen, and using these ingredients regularly can give you soft, smooth, straight hair.

So if you want to know how to straighten your hair at home with natural hair straightening products, read on.

Hot Oil treatment : Regular hot oil treatment can not only provide nutrition to your hair, but can make your hair straight too. Use a mixture of coconut and olive oil for this hot oil treatment. You may also use almond oil instead of olive oil. Massage the oil on your scalp as well as on hair. Then wrap a hot towel and leave it for 45 minutes. After its done, rinse it off with shampoo.

And adding lemon juice to coconut milk will give you better results. Keep the mixture in the refrigator for few hours. A creamy layer will be formed on the top of the mixture. Apply that creamy portion on the hair and wrap a towel to cover the hair. Keep it for an hour. After that rinse off your hair properly with shampoo and use a hair dryer to dry the hair. You will find much manageable soft curly hair with very less frizz.

Natural hair conditioner : To make hair soft and supple, you must use a hair conditioner after you wash your hair with shampoo everytime. Tea liquor is a great natural hair conditioner for curly hair.

Honey and milk : Take some milk and add honey to it to make a paste. You can also smash some berries or strawberries into it. Apply the mixture on the hair. Give enough time to let the mixture dry on your hair. So wash off your hair with shampoo after waiting for 1 and half hour at least.

Egg and olive oil : Egg and olive oil are two of the most important hair care ingredients. Take two eggs, beat them and add olive oil in the eggs. Mix the ingredients properly and then apply it on the hair. Keep it for at least 1 and half hour before rinsing it off with a light shampoo.

Milk spray : To flatten the hair, milk is really helpful. Pour milk into a spray bottle and then spray it all over the hair. Let the hair absorb milk. After 30 minutes, you may wash off the hair with a good shampoo.

These natural hair straightening products wont give you straight hair immediately. Of course these ingredients wont work effectively and quickly like the chemical hair straightening ingredients do.  However, if you make this a part of hair regime and use these processes at least two times a week, you will notice the difference. Within a few months, you will get to notice the difference. However, be patient if you are using natural hair straightening products.

So, when I got the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner to be reviewed as a contest entry for the collab contest conducted by Indiblogger and Sunsilk, I gave a smile! ;) But then I always have an inner conflict in mind while testing out any hair products which claim to give straight mane, whether it will work or not, as till date whatever I have used could not give the desired ‘straight hair’ look!

Both the shampoo and conditioner come in violet containers. That’s super cool! One thing which I like about Sunsilk hair thingy is that those come in different fascinating colored containers which look so amazing! Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo comes in a flip open capped container and the shampoo is pinkish in color, and the consistency is quite runny. It has got a fruit fragrance. Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner is white in color and is also runny. The shampoo lathers up well.

After blow drying the hair I got frizz free hair, but that is not what one calls “Straight”! Well my hair is chemically untreated and I have never gone for permanent straightening till date. So if you have straightened hair already this duo might be of good help to you, though am not sure about it! But for people who have real curly hair or frizzy hair, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner wont do any miracle after all! In fact after blow-drying the hair, I straightened my hair with hot iron too. The results were nothing exceptional as the humid weather never allows these irons to work properly I guess.

Overall, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner are okayish products. Yes helps in reducing the frizziness in hair. Do not expect anything more! One thing more, it is pocket friendly, so definitely worth a try, as if it did not work on  me does not mean it wont work on you J I am not impressed with the stuffs honestly. However, the shampoo does its work well, that is it cleans well. And no dryness in the hair!

So, if you are looking for smoother frizz free hair, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner is a good option for you. But if you are looking for perfectly straight hair, only a chemical rebonding can gift it to you, not these stuffs!
