Avon Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo REVIEW

RATING :- 7 OUT OF 10

I have been using the Avon Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo for about 3 weeks now. It contains about 200 ml of the product and costs INR Rs 299. I bought this Avon shampoo online. The product got an amazing scent with a bit of minty or camphor odor in it as it has peppermint oil in it.

What Avon claims about the Avon Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo ? : This gentle conditioning shampoo contains Keratin, a key component of hair, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and silky. When used with Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall conditioner, it reduces hair breakage that can occur with daily brushing and styling as well as helps to prevent future damage.

How to use ? : Wet hair and lather. Rinse, repeat if necessary. Follow with Advanced Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocomide Mea, Acrylates Copolymer, Dimethicone, Parfum, Citric Acid, Keratin, Disodium Edta, Peppermint Oil etc.

Avon Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo comes in a gray plastic bottle with a black cap. Its a flip-open cap. The product inside is white in color and kind of runny in consistency. It lathers up quickly so thats one good thing. And completely cleans up the hair, thoroughly. I usually wash my hair twice a week or thrice if i am using this shampoo, the hair remains quite smooth and soft for long. I did not get the same conditioner as has been instructed by the company, however i do use my normal conditioner alongwith the shampoo.

Though the softness, smoothness of hair claims seem to be true, the anti-hair fall claim is definitely not true. It is not helping in anyway to reduce hair fall so if you are buying the Avon Advance Techniques Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo just because of hairfall, you may be hugely disappointed. However, opinions might change if the conditioner is also used alongwith the shampoo. For now, i would just put this right here that i am not at all a fan of this shampoo when it comes to hair fall control. But for the softness of the hair and since it cleans the hair very well, i am going to rate this good. So definitely, one can try this out if hairfall is not the issue you are thinking of getting resolved with this. I might repeat this one sometime in future as i quite like the product minus the anti-hair fall shampoo claims.

Garnier Ultra Blends Deep Nourishing Shampoo REVIEW

RATING :- 4 OUT OF 10

Garnier Ultra Blends Deep Nourishing Shampoo comes in a plastic bottle which is semi-transparent and olive green in color and the flip-open cap is golden in color. It costs INR Rs 120 for a pack of 180 ml. The shampoo is runny and almost colorless, and got a syrupy smell.

What Garnier claims about the Garnier Ultra Blends Deep Nourishing Shampoo ? : Garnier Ultra Blends is a complete haircare range with precious natural ingredients, finely selected for their known efficacy on hair and blended in paraben-free formulas. Discover our bespoke blends for your everyday hair needs.
Roughness, dullness, frizz are signs of under-nourished hair. Our formula is a blend with Virgin Olive oil, that is rich in Vitamin E. The formula helps to nourish and protect even the most dry and rough hair. Discover hair that is intensely nourished and incredibly easy to manage.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Coco-Betaine, Cocomide MIPA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Olive fruit oil, Salicylic Acid, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Carboxylic Acid etc.

Garnier Ultra Blends Deep Nourishing Shampoo appears to be a very mild light shampoo, it does not cleanse the hair thoroughly. I am not sure about the nourishing part as it is something which cant be seen from outside. The hair gets greasy and oily just after a day or two and immediately after shampooing the hair too, i dont feel it cleanses the hair totally. The shampoo is very runny and as mentioned before got a smell, which does not last longer though. The shampoo is totally colorless. However, the hair does not get dry after using this, so whoever got dry hair might be relieved because of this. Since my scalp is oily, i need to struggle though. The shampoo is known to contain mythic olive oil and therefore should really nourish the hair that is if it actually contains it though. This claims to give silkier smoother shinier hair but i personally did not find any such changes in my hair. Just that my hair got oilier and greasy, thats it. Overall, i did not like the shampoo so i would not be repurchasing this.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo Review

RATING – 8.5 OUT OF 10

Today i am gonna review the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo which i have been using over a month now. I know, this aint a new shampoo, but you know i am always late in posting reviews. Lazy soul! Anyways, the shampoo costs INR Rs 185 for a pack of 215 ml.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Carbomer, Glycol Distearate, Disodium Edta, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Sodium Hydroxide etc.

What TRESemme claims about TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo? : Specially formulated with lower sulphates, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, helps restore keratin and gently cleanses to leave hair clean, shiny and manageable. When used together with Keratin Smooth Conditioner, it controls frizz for up to 48 hours and transforms your hair to be gorgeously straighter and more manageable.

How to use? : Apply to wet hair, gently massage and work into a lather. Rinse thoroughly. After shampoo, use daily with TRESemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner. Style using your favourite TRESemme styling products.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo comes in a red bottle with black cap. I usually use it 2-3 times a week. I generally don’t use a conditioner after shampooing, because i am very lazy! The shampoo is of medium consistency and lathers okay, got a smell but nothing bad or irritating, at least not for me. The shampoo is white in color.

Now, coming to what i felt after using this shampoo is that, it makes the hair softer and a lot smoother. But the smoothness and softness stays for only a day in my case. Straighter yes, but not that noticeable unless you already have your hair straightened from before. So if you shampoo regularly or on alternative days, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo will help you to get smoother and straighter mane as promised by the company. The effect is only temporary, so you need to keep that in mind. Also the hair begins to get sticky and dull after a day or two, so you need to shampoo frequently. Since i have long hair, i need to apply at least four times coin sized amount of shampoo on my hair. So this wont last really long. But this shampoo at least lives upto its promises, even if temporary. So, i will repurchase this product may be in near future. I like the shampoo.

REVIEW : Pantene Pro-V Silky Smooth Care Shampoo

RATING : 9 OUT OF 10

Hello girls, i have been using this shampoo from Pantene for sometime now, and i love this one so much that i had to review. Pantene Pro-V Silky Smooth Care Shampoo.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Chloride, Dimethicone, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Cinnamal, Panthenol, Hydrochloric Acid, Silk Extract etc

Directions to use : Massage onto wet scalp/hair gently. Rinse off thoroughly.

Pantene Pro-V Silky Smooth Care Shampoo comes in a white plastic container with a golden top. It costs INR Rs 155 for a pack of 180 ml. As Pantene claims, the shampoo ‘helps prevent damage for smooth hair’, thus giving one smooth silky hair. The shampoo is basically in white in color, a bit thick, and you will need a good amount of the shampoo to cleanse your hair well if you have long hair. I need to use almost 4 times coin sized amount to be applied on my hair. Does not lather much unfortunately, so need more product to get the cleansing done properly. The fragrance is nice, not that strong too, and goes away within a day.

I am pretty much satisfied after using the Pantene Pro-V Silky Smooth Care Shampoo. The hair gets silky and stays manageable for at least 2 days, note i have rough frizzy hair. So you can guess, its not manageable at times, however with Pantene, that issue has been sorted out. And i did not even use any conditioner after shampooing for the test, and the smooth feeling stayed for 3 days. After that obviously i had to shampoo as my hair needs cleansing after 2-3 days since scalp gets oily very soon making hair dull. :(

Yes, i would love to repurchase the Pantene Pro-V Silky Smooth Care Shampoo because it works really well on my rough dry hair.

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo Review

RATING :- 8 OUT OF 10

Hello everyone, i am currently in love with the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and repurchased this thrice already. It comes in several packs, but i generally use the 300 ml bottle which costs INR 265. The packaging is basically a plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The bottom part is dull yellow in color and the top part of the bottle is brown.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Coco Betaine, Dimethicone, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Linalool, Citric Acid etc.

What L’oreal claims about the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo? : Do you feel your hair is depleted of its nourishment and does not look healthy? Discover our ultimate nourishing solution for healthy-looking beautiful hair.

The L’oreal Laboratories have infused 6 NUTRITIVE OILS in a shampoo that makes hair and scalp feel nourished and gives 6 sensational benefits.

6 Oils –
·         Argan
·         Almond
·         Jojoba
·         Olive
·         Coconut
·         Camelina

6 Benefits –
·         Strong
·         Smooth
·         Shiny
·         Soft
·         Thick
·         Manageable

Result (as claimed by L’oreal) : So nourishing, it makes hair look healthy and beautiful with a spectacular shine with every wash.

Directions for use : Apply on wet hair, lather and then rinse-off.

Now coming to what i feel after using this L’oreal shampoo. This does not give a lot of lather so if you have long hair, you need to use twice or thrice amount of a coin to wash your hair well. L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo got a fruity smell and the shampoo is yellow in color, with a medium texture, not too runny.

The best thing what i like about the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo is you wont generally need a conditioner after shampooing your hair with this to tame your hair. My hair get messy after i shampoo usually and its hard to get rid of frizziness but with this shampoo, that issue is kind of resolved. So, thats good for lazy souls like me. You need not apply oil and massage the head and hair for hours before shampooing too. As L’oreal says the shampoo already got 6 vital hair oils in it, so thats an added advantage.

Am not sure whether my hair gets healthier with every wash using the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo but then there is a bit of lustre in the hair, however it would last only a day or two. I got an oily scalp, so need to shampoo at least after 2-3 days, and this shampoo does not do anything to keep the oiliness of scalp at bay. This shampoo is a bit expensive, but am happy with what i get after shampooing, so am not gonna complain about it.

What is a Dry Shampoo?

Sometimes we are in such a hurry, that we have to skip shower. Although i must say nothing beats the clean feel after we use shampoo and lather up the product and then wash it off with cool water, still there are emergencies. You need to take life as it happens! So if greasy unwashed hair turns you off, then you may like to try out dry shampoos. It is a good alternative, but i guess one should not compare it with normal shampoos, feelings are different!

So, have you ever tried out dry shampoos? If you have not, the most obvious question, you will ask is what is a dry shampoo? How does dry shampoo work? Sit back and relax as we attempt to resolve a few of your queries.

Dry shampoo is in the form of spray or powder and soaks up dirt and oil, to make your hair clean and voluminous. The application of dry shampoo is not tough at all. Just flip all your hair upside down and use the shampoo. If the shampoo is in powder form, then apply it on your roots. After that keep it for a few minutes as it is, this will help it to absorb all the oil and dirt, then brush off the hair to get rid of the dry shampoo from the hair. After that you can style it as you want.

Benefits of using a dry shampoo cant be ruled out, in fact there are quite a number of advantages of using dry shampoos. You can trick your buddies by making them think you have taken a shower and shampooed your hair normally, when actually you have used dry shampoo which takes much less time to clean the hair. However make sure to take all the dry shampoo out before you leave the house, or else the shampoo will leave a white layer on the hair. Dry shampoo can also make the hair weigh down. So in order to find the perfect and right dry shampoo you need to experiment.

In the Indian beauty market you will find a number of dry shampoos from various brands like Lush, Toni&Guy, Tresemme, Fudge, Label.m, Oasis + to name a few. So just pick up one and try out if you like it, you can continue using it. If you don’t,  consider purchasing dry shampoo from another brand.

Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Who does not love straight hair? Straight hair is always the IN-thing in fashion. And just like any other babes with curly mane in the world, me too never leaves a chance to try a thing or two which claims to give straighter tresses. So, when I got the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner to be reviewed as a contest entry for the collab contest conducted by Indiblogger and Sunsilk, I gave a smile! ;) But then I always have an inner conflict in mind while testing out any hair products which claim to give straight mane, whether it will work or not, as till date whatever I have used could not give the desired ‘straight hair’ look!

Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo costs INR Rs 56 for 80 ml and the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner is priced at INR Rs 56 for 90 ml. The products have been created with the ‘breakthrough straight-lock technology’ with the help of Yuko Yamashita.

What Sunsilk claims about the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner? : There is a magic moment between wet & dry hair when your hair looks perfectly straight and beautifully aligned. But as it dries, it starts to puff up and lose shape. Sunsilk expert Yuko Yamashita has co-created Sunsilk Perfect Straight, the ideal shampoo for straight hair every day. Its breakthrough Straight-Lock technology to actively control and hold every strand perfectly aligned as it dries. It penetrates deep within the hair fibre, reducing frizz and straightening strands, keeping them fully aligned as they dry*. Experience unbeatably straight hair that is shiny, smooth and gorgeous, right from the shower.
Straight baal lock karo, rock karo!

Penetrated deep within the hair fibre, reducing frizz and straightening strands, keeping them fully aligned as they dry.

Results that have to be seen to be believed.

Both the shampoo and conditioner come in violet containers. That’s super cool! One thing which I like about Sunsilk hair thingy is that those come in different fascinating colored containers which look so amazing! Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo comes in a flip open capped container and the shampoo is pinkish in color, and the consistency is quite runny. It has got a fruit fragrance. Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner is white in color and is also runny. The shampoo lathers up well.

After blow drying the hair I got frizz free hair, but that is not what one calls “Straight”! Well my hair is chemically untreated and I have never gone for permanent straightening till date. So if you have straightened hair already this duo might be of good help to you, though am not sure about it! But for people who have real curly hair or frizzy hair, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner wont do any miracle after all! In fact after blow-drying the hair, I straightened my hair with hot iron too. The results were nothing exceptional as the humid weather never allows these irons to work properly I guess.

Overall, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner are okayish products. Yes helps in reducing the frizziness in hair. Do not expect anything more! One thing more, it is pocket friendly, so definitely worth a try, as if it did not work on  me does not mean it wont work on you J I am not impressed with the stuffs honestly. However, the shampoo does its work well, that is it cleans well. And no dryness in the hair!

So, if you are looking for smoother frizz free hair, the Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner is a good option for you. But if you are looking for perfectly straight hair, only a chemical rebonding can gift it to you, not these stuffs!

Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo Review

RATING : 8.9 OUT OF 10

I change shampoos and hair conditioners often, so this time around picked up the Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo for my mane. Thanks to all the advertisement on television which claims Tresemme products are specially made for hair salons which can give your hair the proper care it requires even at home.

As you might already know Tresemme is a professional haircare brand which is used by hairdressers and stylists. Now, i must mention here that Tresemme products are too budget friendly. This Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo comes in a black plastic bottle with black flip-flop cap and costs INR Rs 128 for a bottle of 225 ml.

The Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo contains vitamin H and silk protein and is specially made for dry rough hair which it moisturizes intensely. Hair feels softer and smoother after using this shampoo according to the brand.

It has got a fruity smell and stays on for quite sometime, may be even a day! So if you are allergic to scents, this might not be a good pick for you. The consistency is medium, not at all watery and also not very thick and creamy. And i noticed even if i don’t use a conditioner after using this shampoo, my hair is still manageable and softer. The hair does not get greasy after shampooing, these are some of the good points of the Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo.

Also i must tell you, that the pack of Tresemme Smooth & Shine Shampoo is quite sturdy and convenient for travelling. My hair did not start falling out after using this product. Quite a good pick for this affordable price.

REVIEW : Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick hair

RATING – 9.5 OUT OF 10
I am going to review today Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick hair. This is one shampoo which I am currently in love with, my hair feels lively and refreshed after I wash my hair with this shampoo.

Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick hair costs INR Rs 190 for 200 gms. You can find these in professional hair spas and beauty salons of L’oreal. Though I bought this from a wholesale dealer of cosmetics and hair care.

Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick Hair nourishes my dry thick hair quite effortlessly and pretty well. Also the shampoo helps in controlling the wayward frizzes in my hair, and manages the thick volume. One thing, which I love of this shampoo is that it makes my hair silky and shiny after washing. I don’t need a separate conditioner after using the shampoo as it makes my hair really manageable.

What Matrix claims about the product ? - Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo gently cleanses and moisturises very dry, thick hair. The nourishing formula, with a botanical complex of algae, sage, lemongrass and wheat germ lipids, helps control frizz and unwanted volume.

Usage of Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick hair – Apply to wet hair and lather with a gentle massaging motion. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with Biolage Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner. Incase of contact with eyes, rinse immediately.
So you can use a conditioner after shampooing your hair, but my mine hair is not sooo thick, so I feel that after shampooing with Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo, my hair is tamed down, so if I use a conditioner again, my hair will get oily look.
The shampoo is white in color and thick. It has got a fruit like scent which I love. Cleanses the hair really well. I shampoo on alternate days or after 2 days. Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo gives a fresh cool feeling to my hair and the hair does not get sticky within 2 days.
I guess there is only one problem, that’s its availability. If you don’t know any wholesale dealers nearby, go to the nearest L’oreal professional salon and ask them for Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo for Dry & Thick hair, most of the salons are ready to sell them. Also I read online that some girls get trouble in styling the hair after shampooing the hair with this shampoo, though I did not experience any such difficulties. Incase that’s a problem for you, go for a Matrix hair serum.
