Beauty tips to look your best during periods

When you are on your periods, the entire body undergoes a big hormonal change which can affect your skin in a negative way. Most common period beauty issues includes dull rough skin, big facial pores, puffiness around the eyes, flat limp hair to name a few.

However, you can get rid of many of the periods beauty problems which are due to the hormonal changes, if you follow some beauty tips for menstruating women. Whether you have acne prone skin, or oily skin or dry skin, here are a number of beauty tips for you.

Fake the facial glow – If you got dull skin, you need to simply conceal the problem and fake a glow. Any makeup products like foundations, blushes, concealers etc with illuminating particles would be of great help. You can also take the help of herbal facial masks which contain lot of antioxidants.

Combat oiliness – During your periods, your estrogen levels get lower and hence skin tends to get quite oily. So one of the best beauty tips for menstruating women is to grab the right facial cleanser for skin. Go for a cleanser which is low in pH and has anti-inflammatory properties. Skin products suitable for oily skin can be used too, because generally those contain salicylic acid.  You can take the help of sulphur masks to clean up pores well which will prevent bacteria build-up which leads to pimples.

Depuff eye area – Puffiness around the eye areas can make you feel uncomfortable. Its very important to stay hydrated. Also massage helps to fight the fluid retention. Use your cleanser on the puffy eye areas in the morning in a gentle circular motion.

Take care of pores – You must keep the pores clean so that they appear smaller, this is a very important beauty tip for women on their periods. Salicylic acid as well as glycolic acid keeps the pores clean. However here’s a homemade remedy to shrink facial pores. Just take baking soda and mix water with it to make a paste. Cleanse your face daily with this paste.

Get rid of dry patchy skin – Low levels of estrogen can also make the dry skin, depending on the type of skin you actually have. Go for thick layering of moisturizers and apply it frequently so that your skin is soft and supple always. However remember to wash your face often, so that your skin pores don’t get clogged with all those skincare products.

Right makeup during periods – Switch to cream makeup products from powders. Moisturize your lips well before applying any lip color. Also use eye primer on the eyelids if you are going for cream eye shadows.

Sun protection – Your skin’s sensitivity to the sun can increase as the hormonal levels change during menstruation cycles. So skipping sunscreen can lead to more sun burns and tan. So avoid using just the makeup products with a bit of SPF in it, instead go for full fledged sunscreen lotions, and apply it before applying foundation. This will protect the skin from sunrays all day long.

Haircare – If your hair gets dry during periods, and the hair volume is not that great, condition your hair well. Protect it from heat too. If you use a blow dryer, go for a cooler setting. Also volumnizing hair products are of great help during these days. Also a bit of hair shine spray can add a touch of shine or gloss on the hair.

Diet – Last but not the least, your diet is of much importance when it comes to beauty tips for women in their periods. If you don’t follow a proper diet, you wont have a flawless skin. So take a diet full of polyphenols and even phytoestrogens, which can include flax seeds to chocolates. Too much of carb intake should be avoided during the menstruation.

How to apply eye makeup for every eye shape

Eye makeup for every eye shape (Picture Courtesy : weheartit)
Eye makeup is a very important part of the entire face makeup. Eye makeup if done properly can make our eyes look bigger, brighter and awake. Another thing which we need to take a note of is that, we have different shapes of eyes. So in order to do our eye makeup perfect, we need to determine our eye shapes and accordingly apply eye makeup according to the eye shapes.

So, in this article, we shall give you the techniques to apply proper eye makeup based on eye shape.
Eye makeup for round eyes (Picture Courtesy : makeupgeek)

How to apply eye makeup on round eyes – If you have round eyes, you need to elongate it by lining the upper eyelids with an eyeliner starting from the inner corner till the outer corner, and forming a small cat eye or just extending it a bit outside. Then use a highlighter on the brow bones and inner corner of the eyes. Post that, apply a medium brown eye shadow on the upper lids up to crease, concentrate more on the outer corners of the eyes by packing more colors, and blend it well as you go towards the middle of the eyelids. In this way, you will get the desired doe-eye look.
Eye makeup for downturned eyes (Picture Courtesy : primped)

How to apply eye makeup on downturned eyes – Downturned eyes need a bit of lift, so the eyeliner will help you the most in this case. Just apply the eye shadow as a person with round eyes would. But the eyeliner should be thicker than the women of other eye shapes would apply it. So start from the inner corners of the eyes, up to the outer corners and at the end, flick it upwards into a smiley shape or cat eyes.
Eye makeup for deep-set eyes (Picture Courtesy : stylebistro)

How to apply makeup on deep set eyes – The only tip for makeup on this shape of eyes is that, if you apply dark eye shadows, do it very gently. Just highlight the areas of the eyes you would love to accentuate and give an illusion of round eyes. Dont let the dark eye shadows overpower the entire eye makeup.
Eye makeup for close-set eyes

How to apply makeup on close set eyes – For close-set eyes, we want to make them wider. So basically go for three eye shadows, first the highlighter which you sweep across your browbones and inner corners of the eyes. Then, a medium brown eye shadow which you apply on the eyelids from the middle part to the end, extend it a bit outwards. And while packing the color on the eyelids apply it in a round way. And finally to create more contrast, use a dark brown eye shadow on the crease. Then take the eyeliner, and start lining from the middle part of your eyelids and extend it beyond the outer part of your eyes in a straight line.
Eye makeup for protruding eyes (Picture Courtesy : popsugar)

How to apply eye makeup on protruding eyes – If you have protruding eyes, don’t use any highlighter on the inner corners of the eyes or the waterline. However, below the browbone apply some highlighter. Apply eyeliner very thickly from the inner corner to the outer corner and extend it in a straight line. The dark eyeliner on the lids will downplay the protruding shape of the eyes.
Eye makeup for hooded eyes (Picture Courtesy : stealherstyle)

How to apply eye makeup on hooded eyes – Hooded eyes have an extra layer of skin just underneath the brows, that just hides the crease areas and makes the eye lids look smaller. You don’t need much highlighter in this case, just apply a tiny bit on the inner corners. Next apply a medium colored shadow on the eyelids, and pack the dark eye shadow on the crease as well as on the outer V subtly. Apply the eyeliner on the eyelids, not in a thick way, and extend it out with a flick.
Eye makeup for monolid eyes

How to apply eye makeup on monolid eyes – A monolid eye does not have any crease. So, you need to apply makeup to this eye shape in such a way, that it makes the eyes look bigger and wider and open. Highlight the inner corners by using a white shimmery shadow and take it up to the centre of the eyes. Then take the next medium color and apply it from the crease to the outer corner of the eyes. Just create a round shape. Now define the same shape that you just created with the medium color, using a dark eye shadow. For the eyeliner, draw a very thin line which gets a bit thicker as it goes outside.
Eye makeup for almond eyes (Picture Courtesy : taaz)

How to apply eye makeup on almond eyes – Almond eye shape is the ideal eye shape. Its the most symmetrical eye shape. So half of your task is already accomplished by its own, as you don’t need to create the illusion of symmetry with makeup. So, for this type of eye shape, you can use eye shadow and eyeliner as you want. Just step back from the mirror and keep checking if things are upto your likings.

So, thats all about the eye makeup for different shape of eyes. If you follow the steps mentioned in this post, you can definitely achieve the perfect eye makeup and look gorgeous! Good luck!

Makeup for college students

You are a teenager still if you are in college or probably you just have hit early 20s. Whatever be the number, you know you are youthful and having a fun time in your life. But this is the stage when you are not quite sure of what will look good on you. You may spend hours thinking about ‘how should i apply my makeup?’, ‘what makeup products should i use?’ etc. This article will provide you some helpful tips to do your makeup right as this particular blog-post is dedicated to college student makeup. So, don’t be stressed and don’t worry much, we have your questions covered!

Skincare for college students – Before you jump in to makeup, taking good care of your skin is extremely important. You can get away from blemishes and acne if your skincare routine is good enough.

·         Now, before application of makeup, its always necessary to start by washing your face well. If your skin is dry, go for mild cleansers, even cream cleansers will work. If your skin is quite oily, use a cleanser which has salicylic acid.
·         Next comes moisturizing your face which will hydrate the skin and prep the skin. If your skin is dry, go for heavy or intense moisturizers. If your skin is oily, choose an oil-free moisturizer.
·         Finally, don’t forget to wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30. If you don’t like piling too many products on your face, go for a tinted moisturizer which has SPF in it.

Makeup Base for college students –

·         Foundations have a tendency to make one look older and the skin look cakey at times. So its best to skip foundation when you are doing makeup for college. You should look natural and accentuate your natural beauty.
·         However, concealer is a must-have. As an adolescent, you might have dark circles and acne scars or blemishes. Take a concealer which matches your complexion or just 1 shade lighter than your skintone. Just dab it on the spots which need to be covered up and gently blend it with finger. Dont wipe it! After that, put a bit of face powder over the spots so that its set. Its better to use a yellow tone concealer under your eyes, if you want to brighten the eye area. Dont go for concealers which are too pink or white or ash in color.
·         You can always use a tinted moisturizer as a base on your face instead of using foundation. However, its okay if you want some heavy makeup at times and then you can definitely go for foundation. Choose a foundation shade which matches your complexion exactly. Take a foundation brush and put the foundation on it and draw 6 lines all over your face, starting from nose all the way up to the forehead, then nose to your right and left cheeks, nose to chin and then nose to both sides of your jaws. Use the brush to blend everything well, and put some foundation on the neck too, so that the color all throughout your face and neck matches. You can also use a sponge or beauty blender to blend everything well.
·         Powdering the face is not required unless you have oily skin. Since you are already young, you will have a natural glow on your face and the face powder will kind of cover it up. So, you can brush powder on the spots where you have used concealers and also on the T-zone i.e. your forehead, nose and chin. This will help to absorb excessive oil keeping the glow intact.

Eye Makeup for college goers –

·         Start by brushing your eyebrows upwards and not inwards. You can use an eyebrow brush or a toothbrush for this. Keep your brows neat and well groomed. Dont pluck the brow hair excessively.
·         For the eye shadow, go for a natural shimmery eye shadow. Apply it up to the crease, not on the brow bone. You can also apply some of it on the lower eyelids. If you have brown or hazel eyes, go for warm eye shadow colors like copper or gold hues. You can also wear some fun colors like blue or green if its night time.
·         I wont recommend a black eyeliner for a college student, unless its a special occasion. For everyday makeup, go for purple or brown eyeliners. If your eyes are small, avoid dark eyeliners. Also for a young college student, keep the eyeliner application on the upper eyelids thin as close to the lashes as possible. Too much of eyeliner can make one look like a raccoon.
·         For mascara, you can either go for brown or black mascara. Just wiggle out the mascara wand as you apply mascara on the lashes. Dont apply a lot of the product as it will result in clumpy eyelashes.

Blush for college students’ makeup – You just need to add a bit of color on your cheeks without overdoing it. So keep the blush color natural. Dont opt for too dark or intense blush colors. Pink rosy blush or bronzers are ideal for college girls. And to apply the blush, just smile, and apply the blush on the apples of your cheeks. Some people even add blush on their foreheads, chins and noses, but i personally never did that, however you may try.

Lips for college girls’ makeup – Instead of using a lipstick, go for more natural makeup products like a lipgloss or lip tint. Lip gloss will just enhance your natural lip color adding a bit of shimmer. And lip tint will add a bit of color to the lips. Soft pinks or light browns work well for college going girls. However, do not use dark shades, that will make you look older!

How to do makeup when you are sick or tired

At times we need to go out looking presentable and stylish even if we feel tired or unwell. So its natural that you need to use makeup to look good despite tiredness or sickness to look fresh and good. Here are a few tips to do makeup when you are sick or tired.

CTM – Just like any other day, you need to first cleanse your face. Post that toning and moisturizing is important.

Face Makeup – In order to look wide awake and fresh, go for a light-weight tinted moisturizer. Skip full coverage foundations as they tend to make the skin look dry and pale/ You can apply a bit of concealer only on the spots which need a bit coverage like on blemishes and any kind of pigmentation or dark circles. Avoid any kind of powder makeup products, as that will make your face look dry. To get a dewy fresh look, dab a bit of creamy highlighter on the cheekbones.

Add color to your face – If you are tired or sick, its natural to look a bit pale. But then if you add a hint of color on your face that will instantly brighten up the face. Go for a cream blush in brighter hues than you usually use, like fuchsia, warm pink or peach. To warm up the complexion and add definition to the face, go for a bronzer and apply it on the hollows of the cheeks, jaw line and also on the temples. If you have oily skin, puff on some translucent face powder on the T-zone area only that is the forehead, nose, chin.

Makeup for tired eyes – Often if you are tired, eyes are puffy and red. So avoid heavy eye makeup. To add some color on your tired looking eyes, pat on some flesh toned eye shadow all over your upper eye lids upto the crease. You can use a black or brown eye liner pencil on the upper lash lines and wing it out on the outer corner. This will open up your eyes. Curl the lashes then, and apply mascara on the upper eye lashes. You may line your waterline with a flesh toned eye liner pencil or leave it without any color. Do not use any concealer just below the eyes, as that will exaggerate the puffiness of the eyes.

Conceal the dark circles – Do not pile up concealers on the under eye areas. However, choose a concealer that is one to two shades lighter than your complexion and dab only a few drops of the concealer on the under eye areas and blend it in. Too much of concealer will get into the creases and emphasize fine lines. Finally, just add some highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes, that will make you look wide awake and fresh.

Lips – If your lips are dry and chapped which is generally the case if one is unwell, stay away from matte lipsticks. Matte lipsticks will only make the lips more dry, making the lip lines visible. Go for moisturizing lipsticks in light colors, thereafter you may dab on a bit of lip gloss too which will make your lips softer and look fuller. In case you only prefer to wear matte lipsticks, make sure to put on lip balm before to moisturize the lips, after that go ahead and put on the matte lipstick.

Additional tips to help you look good when you are sick or tired –
·         Use a face brightening mask prior to the application of makeup.
·         For de-puffing your eyes instantly, keep two steel spoons in the refrigerator for few hours, and when they are cold, put them under your eyes, and gently press for a few minutes.
·         You can also keep your regular moisturizer and eye creams in the freezer for few hours. And apply them when you are getting ready.
·         Keep your body hydrated by drinking enough water.
·         Carry some refreshing facial toner or rosewater and spray it on your face throughout the day whenever you get a chance.

With the above mentioned makeup tips, you will look good anytime even if you are dull and tired or not feeling well.

How to do Long-Stay Makeup in Humid Weather

India is a tropical country, which means summer spans over a long time every year. And even in the monsoon season, we do not get respite from dry sweaty weather. Now, makeup is essential in order to feel and look good! So whether its summer, or monsoon or winter, we need to get our daily dose of makeup. Agree?

In this post, i shall be jotting down a few simple steps which will help your makeup to stay on long even in humid weather.

Ice Cube Magic – Before applying any makeup on the face, take an ice cube and rub it over your face, It will cool and soothe the skin.

Primer – In hot humid weather we try to keep makeup minimum and avoid piling or layering makeup. But primer is a MUST! Go for water based primers in the hot humid seasons, it acts as a protective shield on the skin, and helps makeup to stay on top of it longer.

Read labels – Yes. Read the labels on your beauty products and apply those which are ‘long lasting’, ‘waterproof’. These products will definitely be able to fight off the heat and humidity and last longer than the usual ones.

Choose light-weight makeup products – Instead of going for a foundation, opt for light BB creams. If foundation is a must, you may choose cream based foundations which are oil free. This should be suitable for all skin types and lasts longer. Similarly for blush, choose a gel or cream blush. Creamy eye shadows too have a good staying power.

Any powder makeup products are best to be avoided as it lasts for a very less time.

Light colored Lipsticks – Any heavy lipstick or glosses should be avoided. You can put on some light neutral shade or may be lip balm.

Set the Makeup – A light dusting of loose powder on face and neck will set the makeup. But remember not to put lot of products and powder on the face. Keep it natural, just lock the makeup with the powder.

That’s all for long lasting makeup which can withstand heat, humidity and perspiration. Try it out. I hope, you will be able to achieve the long lasting makeup look easily.

Deepika Padukone’s makeup looks in the film Piku

Piku is Deepika Padukone’s newest release and its already a successful film. She has shared screen-space with the Mega star Amitabh Bachchan. In this film, Deepika plays the role of a working woman (architect by profession) who is also a responsible and dutiful daughter and looks after the house entirely. So, Deepika got a very urban modern look, which is very simple yet graceful and got the touches of a typical Bong girl too, as she plays a Bengali young lady in the flick.

If you have watched the Bollywood movie ‘Piku’ then you might be interested to know how Deepika looked so stylish and functional in the movie. Her look is such that it can be worn by everyday office-goers and anyone  can look effortlessly gorgeous by adapting the Deepika Padukone Piku look.

Usually Deepika could be seen in the movie with flawless radiant skin and well groomed eye brows. Makeup was almost barely present in some scenes, while in other scenes she got a bit dolled up. One of my favourite look of her in Piku is the one shown above. She got her  foundation and compact done well. Then a medium brown shadow has been applied all over her eyelids. After that with a black kohl or kajal pencil, both her upper and lower lash lines has been lined, and the two lines extending a bit outwards and then been merged together. Then to complete eye makeup, she coated her upper and lower lashes with mascara. A slight pink blusher has been used on the apples of her cheeks. And  finally a soft brown lipstick on her lips completes the look. This makeup look is ideal for women wearing sarees or salwar kameez or kurtis or kurtas. Suitable for ethnic wear. She got a black bindi on her forehead and jhumkas.

This is another simple stylish look of Deepika in ‘piku’. Not very different from the first look mentioned. Except that she has lined only her upper lash line with kajal smudging it a bit towards the end. Here too she got a round bindi but in blue color.

This look is almost a no-makeup look of Deepika Padukone. She got kajal on her lower lash lines. And coats of mascara on the lashes. On her lips, she got an orangish pink lip color. This look is good for college students, very simple and can be done in few minutes.

And finally, i love the look of Deepika Padukone in the poster too. She got straight hair style. Rest of the makeup same just like brown shadow on eye lids and kajal. Soft brown lipstick on her lips. Her eyebrows has been made prominent in all her looks. And of course a round bindi completes the 'Piku' movie look of Deepika!

How to apply pastel makeup

Summer is all about colors. So if you are looking to add touches of color while applying makeup, or on your hair, or in your wardrobe, thats perfectly understandable. Pastel makeup colors are currently ruling the makeup world. However, if you wanna try those awesome pastel shades then it would always help if you get a bit of assistance on what to use and how much to use. If you are more into nudes, then trying pastel shades like pink, peach, teal, lilac, green would be a fun try out. So if you want to get a soft pretty look and not get converted into an Easter egg lookalike, read on.

Keep eye makeup subtle : While applying eye makeup, please ensure that the colors blend well. And you get a soft light eye makeup look. If you are going for pastel shade eyeshadows, then go for soft colored lippy. And for a minimalistic eye makeup look, just sweep only one shadow all over your eye lids, and finish it off with coats of mascara on eyelashes.

Chalky lips big NO : Pastel hued lipcolors are fun, but don’t go for lippies with chalky texture. Slowly build up the lip color. Dont apply it heavily or in large amout. One of the most commonly used lipcolor is pink, so if you are applying it, just check if the color tone matches your complexion.

Go monochromatic : If you are using pastel shades from the same color family, opt for monochromatic. Just like, soft pink eyeshadows would go well with rose colored lip color. Just make sure to set the right balance between the colors you use so that the makeup look does not look washed out!

Dewy skin : When you are wearing pastel shades, make sure that the skin does not look flat and washed out. Skin must be hydrated and dewy. So definitely you can add some radiant glow and illuminator on the skin to achieve the dewy look. After you have applied blush, go for highlighter. Or else at the very beginning mix some highlighter with the foundation and apply all over the face to get an overall glowing facial skin.

Try fun eyeliner colors : If you are not an eyeshadow person, eyeliners in different colors can help you come out of the monotony. Apply white or lilac or peach or light green on the upper eyelid as well as on the lower eye lid. This will make the eyes pop.

Makeup tips for blondes

If you do have blonde hair, then while applying makeup you must have noticed how difficult it is to find the right shades of makeup for blonde. Some shades look too harsh on the skin while others might make the skin look washed out. So if you wanna look beautiful and sizzling then follow the beauty tips for blonde mentioned in this article.

Makeup colors/shades for blondes : If you are a blonde, go for softer tones, that suits better. Apply pale pink or peach shades on the lips and cheeks. Rose color is also great for the pout. If you have warmer skin tone, and prefer to wear red lip colors, then wear blue-red or orange-red on the lips.

Everyday makeup for blondes : For blondes, the first tip is to be natural and light when it comes to everyday makeup. Go for pink eyeshadows or beige, a rosy blush and neutral lipcolor. For mascara, never use a black one, but go for medium brown mascaras.

Night makeup for blondes : For party makeup for blondes, especially in night-time, wear silver or gray shades. For the eye makeup, go for a light gray shadow on the lids. And then on the crease apply a darker gray shade. For the lower lashline, use metallic silver eyeliner, and on the upper lashline go for a muted gray liner. Use a coral blush and make sure the lipstick you wear is not much glossy.

Makeup tips for platinum blondes : If you are a platinum blonde, stick to cool shades always for makeup. For the peepers, use greens, silver or taupe. Do not use copper or bronze shades. Any shades of pink on the lips would be fine. Do not use any lip color which has orangish tint in it, and if you are a fan of red lipsticks then choose a blue-red color for it.

Makeup tips for honey or caramel blondes : This type of blondes have golden skin tone and so a cherry red lip color will look perfect on them. Also any lip color with flecks of gold would also look dazzling. Orange and blue-red lip shades can also look awesome on honey blondes. They can practically experiment with a lot of makeup shades.

Makeup tips for golden or reddish blondes : For this type of blondes, a warm shade of purple color on the eyes would look beautiful. And go for peachy lipstick, that would always look good.

Match makeup with eye color : When it comes to eye makeup, blondes who have got blue eyes can use cooler shades like silver, steel blue and also gray. For brown eyed blondes, browns and plums are the safest bet. To define the face, the eyebrow color should be at least one shade darker than the hair color. Before you choose the makeup, always consider your complexion and eye color. If your skintone is darker or olive colored, go for earth tones. If you have pale complexion, then don’t use lighter eye shadows which can wash out the skin color. You may also try makeup tips for green or blue or brown eyes.

Look Good Despite Hangover!

You have been up whole night yesterday, and today morning you feel dizzy. It is all because of the alcohol you consumed whole night! But today you need to go to your office and need to complete some important tasks which you cant miss. So it is necessary that you don’t look hungover at workplace. Here, we have put together a few tips which can help you look good even after the hangover.

Water for clear skin : After you drink alcohol, it makes your skin dehydrated. What you always need is clear and beautiful skin, and therefore the intake of water is essential. If you don’t wanna look puffy then keep sipping on water at regular interval, this will ensure you get back to your original self.

Stick to oil-based products : As you wont want your makeup to come off easily, put such products which are oil-based on that particular day. You can start off with a heavy moisturizer which is a bit oily, so that it can get in your skin properly. Oil-based foundations can also be a good option.

Simple Makeup : To hide the hangover, many women do cake up their makeup. Now, this is a big blunder. You need to look as natural as possible, do remember this point please. Therefore put a heavy layer of moisturizer on the face, but go light with makeup part. Also don’t go overboard with colors for makeup. Choose neutral palette.

Pay attention to the eyes : The eyes can speak a lot by themselves so you need to take a bit of special care for your peepers. Puffy eyes send a signal to anyone and everyone that you are in a hangover. You can place cool cucumber slices on your eyes for ten minutes. This will reduce the puffiness. Also take the assistance of a concealer too to hide those puffiness around the eyes.

How to apply simple natural makeup

Piling on the makeup on your face and looking all made up is a big NO-NO these days. Today we all want to get the naturally beautiful look. For that light makeup is required and not heavy foundations and pancake makeup. For everyday purpose, nothing can beat the barely there makeup look! So the secret of looking beautiful naturally is to wear minimal and light makeup which wont clog the pores and can be worn by women of all age groups.

Simple makeup can be applied in a few minutes and can be done so easily. For the natural look, of course you will need basic makeup products. For the simple natural makeup, you need not spend hundreds of dollars to buy expensive makeup items. Follow the steps mentioned below and you will be able to get the beautiful dewy look within minutes.

Cleanse and hydrate the skin : Before applying any kind of makeup, always cleanse your skin properly with a facial wash or a cleanser. Then apply a bit of moisturizer on the face. In this way, you can get your makeup on in a better way, as the skin gets fully prepared for the makeup application.

In fact a moisturizing face wash is a best alternative if you are hard pressed for time. This will remove excessive greasiness from the face, and keeping the essential oils intact. If you have dry skin or normal skin, do use a moisturizing lotion after this. After applying the lotion, wait for a few minutes before applying the foundation.

Foundation : Choose a foundation which matches your skin tone. If you are using a liquid foundation, its better to apply it with a sponge. For powder foundation, you can use a kabuki brush or a powder brush. Dry skinned beauties are more safe using liquid foundation while oily skinned divas can use powder foundation. Do remember to apply the foundation evenly so that no patches appear.

Translucent powder : To get naturally glowing skin, puff some translucent powder on the face. It will give you a dewy look. You should use only a bit of powder and not too much, otherwise that will give you a cakey look.

Mascara : For a simple look, do not apply layers and layers of mascara on the lashes. A bit of mascara is sufficient. With a single sweep of mascara, you will be ready. This will darken the eyelashes and also avoid any clumpiness. Instead of black mascaras, you can use a dark brown mascara for daytime makeup.

Blush : A hint of blush on the cheeks gives a natural flushed look instantly. Use blushes of baby pink or rose color. If you have oily skin, apply powder blushes, and if you have dry skin, you may opt for gel or cream blushes.

Lips : Skip lipstick and apply a sheer lip gloss in softer shades like peach, pink, light brown. If you are having warm skin tones, go for warmer colors.
