Priyanka Chopra's Makeup Look from Oscar 2016 Red Carpet

Our Desi-girl Priyanka Chopra clearly owned the Oscars 2016 Red Carpet walk. No one could really take off their eyes from this Indian bombshell. However, she had a simple mantra for the Oscar look it seemed, and that is less is more! Piggy Chops was seen in a very casually tied pony tail with middle parting. And her facial makeup too, was nothing overboard! Simple eye makeup, minimal blush and highlighting, and burgundy lips.

You can get the Priyanka Chopra Oscar red carpet look by following the steps mentioned below.

First, take a foundation which is at least 1 to 2 shades lighter than your skin tone and apply it all over your face and neck and any other exposed body parts. Dont forget, you need to have flawless skin all the time, so keep the concealer handy. Apply it on any flaws to get perfect skin tone.

Brow time now! Priyanka's eyebrow arches seem to be just perfect. You can do the same by first using an eye brow powder to fill any gaps in between the brow hair and try to create an arch in the middle part. Also after you have filled up your brows, take a concealer and clean up the entire eye area so that it looks cleaner and lighter. Next apply some highlighter just below the arch to highlight the area.

Eye makeup is quite simple in this Piggy Chop's makeup look. Take two shades of eye shadow preferably in brown. The lightest shade should be applied on the entire eye lids up to the crease and then take the darker shade and apply it on the crease, blending it upwards. Take the same dark eye shadow and apply it on the lower eye lids. Now she got really long volumnious eye lashes, so go ahead and take falsies and apply it on your upper eye lids. If you have individual false eye lashes, that would work better and create more naturalistic look. For the lower eye lashes, use a waterproof mascara.

Priyanka did not wear a lot of blush or bronzer, so if you have got really chubby cheeks go for bronzer, otherwise skip this step and add a dark pink blush on the apples of your cheeks very lightly. And add a few drops of illuminator on the upper portion of the cheeks. Also on the bridge of the nose.

Priyanka Chopra also got a very full lips. So in order to create the illusion of fuller lips, if you are not naturally blessed with that, is take a lip liner preferably in burgundy shade or a brown shade and line your lips a bit outward than where your natural lips end. Fill up the lips with a similar shade of lipstick color, a moisturizing burgundy lipstick would help! And finally, you can clean up the edges of the lips, with the help of a concealer to get a beautiful pucker!

Radhe Maa’s Makeup Breakdown

Radhe Maa is most probably the first God woman (self-proclaimed) to be so stylish and fashionable that as soon as she got on the headlines, she became a fashion icon immediately! Her red bejewelled attire floods our computer screens if we go for an image search of this Indian God-woman who is in the news for all wrong reasons, be it for dowry, harassment of bride by her in-laws alongwith our Radhe Maa. Even few celebs accused this holy diva of running a prostitution ring in India or forcing the female disciples to sleep with the male disciples. Well, what Radhe Maa did or did not as a God woman, am no one to judge. I got fascinated by her dancing videos, and Radhe Maa flaunting her long fair legs in short dresses as well as her general look for the masses in red designer salwar kameez or lehenga cholis.

Radhe Maa is/was (as she is out of radar for now, after all the accusations) generally seen with pretty much the same face makeup. She is very fair going by the pictures we can see on google. So now if you want to emulate Radhe Maa’s looks, lets get straight to the makeup breakdown thingy. Please continue reading.

Make your face very fair or pale with the lightest shade of foundation you have. If you are already very fair, similar to her skintone, then use your normal foundation. After that, don’t forget to put on concealer to hide any flaws, as Radhe Maa got absolutely flawless milky white complexion. Coming to the eyebrows, her brows are brownish and soft with almost no arch. So just take a medium brown eyebrow pencil or eyebrow powder and fill up your brows. Dont create any arches on the brows. Give your brows a soft look.

Now on the eyelids, pack on a bit of light pink eye shadow or even orangish eye shadow. Monochromatic eye shadow look would be perfect. Since Radhe Maa got very less makeup on her eyes. After that, take a black eyeliner and line your upper eye lid as close to the eyelashes as possible. Dont wing out on the outer corners of the eyes. You can take the same eye shadow which you applied on the upper eye lids, and put a bit of it on your lower eye lids. Or a flesh colored eyeliner pencil can be used on the waterline to give you the Radhe Maa special wide-awake youthful eyes. Final step for the eye makeup is to curl your lashes and put on a coat of mascara. Dont overdo anything!

For the blush, just smile and put on pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. You don’t need to blend in the blush much. Radhe Maa got rosy cheeks as you can see. So you blend in properly or not, does not matter for this Radhe Maa inspired makeup look! Skip the bronzer totally.

For the lips, take a bright matte red lipstick and fill in your lips. You need not overdraw the pout, just follow the shape of your lips and apply lipstick. For convenience, you may use a red lipliner first to outline the lips. Once done, just take a tissue, put it in between your lips, and press your lips on the tissue. The excess will get stuck on the tissue, and you will get a matte lip where the red color wont bleed.

Highlighting the face is not necessary, but yes if you want to get some glow (divine-like) go ahead and lightly dust a highlighter below the eye contour, near your cheeks and also on the bridge of your nose.

Finally, don’t forget the red tika. You can use liquid sindoor to draw the tika on your forehead or even a red lipstick will do. Accessories! Yes very important, you take out all chunky neck-pieces and earrings and bangles and deck yourself up with those jewellery. And Radhe Maa is generally seen in red, i guess its her lucky color or her favourite color, so go ahead and wear something traditional or ethnic outfit in red. All set!

Nargis Fakhri’s Makeup Look from Cosmopolitan August 2015

Nargis Fakhri looked gorgeous on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine August 2015 edition. The cover girl of cosmo wore a maroon cropped top with a high-waisted brown leather skirt. She looked chic and stylish in the short hairdo flaunting a bracelet on her left wrist. The ‘Rockstar’ actress recently debuted in Hollywood with the flick ‘Spy’. She is also working in the biopic ‘Azhar’ as well as is a part of ‘Housefull 3’.

Coming to the makeup breakdown of Nargis Fakhri from the cosmo magazine, the makeup look is very stylish yet not over-the-top! So, if you want to look like Nargis Fakhri from the cover of Cosmo Mag, read this post.

Foundation - Start off by priming the face well, and of course use a foundation and concealer to get even complexion. Stay away from tinted moisturizer or any dewy foundation. You need a matte look for this particular makeup look.

Eye brows - Next, fill up your brows well with a dark brown or black eye brow powder. The eyebrows should not be thick, but in fact on the thinner side, with an arch in the middle because Nargis got a thin pair of eye brows with arch.

Eye makeup - Eye makeup of Nargis is extremely simple. Start by packing on some metallic gray eye shadow on the upper lids upto the crease. Next take some light gray eye shadow and blend it with the metallic gray eye shadow concentrating on the crease. Put a bit of shimmery golden eye shadow on the inner corner of the eyes. Put the same color on the brow bones. Finally, take a jet black eye liner and draw a thin line on the upper eye lids as close to the lashes as possible, and wing the line out on the outer corner a bit. You can take a smudging brush, and smudge out the eye liner on the outer corner a bit. Take a light brown eye shadow and using it line the bottom line gently. Then curl your lashes, and put on mascara. You can use individual false eye lashes on the outer corner of the eyes too as i think Nargis used them.

Blush – As Nargis got a softer yet edgier look, you can use bronzer minimally, or even skip it completely. Take a terracotta blush or a dark peach one, and apply it on the cheeks concentrating more towards the hairline and blending it towards the apples of the cheeks.

Highlighter – As i have mentioned above, Nargis got an overall matte look on the magazine cover. However, she dabbed on highlighter on her cheeks, bridge of nose, to enhance her best facial features and give a fresh look.

Lips – She got berry lips on to match her cropped top. Start off by using a berry or maroon colored lip liner. Then use a semi-matte berry lipstick on the lips. If you feel your lips look a bit shiny, use a tissue to get a matte lip look.

Madonna's Iconic '80s Makeup Look Breakdown

Today is the 16^th of August and its our very favourite superstar Madonna’s birthday. So, i thought of posting something about the diva’s iconic makeup look in the ‘80s. Though being such a versatile pop star, she did not just stick to one makeup look per album, however, she had set the trend she created herself which can be named as the classic Madonna look! I have a few pictures, which can be obviously found all over the internet to breakdown Madonna’s makeup in the ‘80s.

Madonna’s look that she flaunted in the ‘80s was retro and modern day look intermingled! Madonna in the ‘80s was the brightest of all stars, she started her musical career with the album ‘Madonna’ and soon came ‘Like A Virgin’ followed by many other super hit Madonna albums. Madonna’s latest album is the ‘Rebel Heart’ which released this March of 2015.

Lets get back to the actual topic of Madonna’s iconic makeup look of ‘80s now. In the above picture as you can see Madonna got a very pale complexion on her face than the rest of her body. You can emulate this look by going for a shade of foundation which is a shade lighter than your original skin tone on your face.

As you can its a matte look, so powder your face well with translucent powder. Madonna’s eyebrows look really a bit bushy which gives a youthful look, so you can just fill up your brows well with an eyebrow powder. O the eyelids apply a shimmery beige shadow upto the crease and blend it in with an orangish brown color on the crease. For the eyeliner put on a nice cream eye liner in black or brown on the upper lids and wing it out at the outer ends. Madonna got the perfect cat eye look! White liner on the waterline is a must followed by mascara on both the lashes and a pair of false eyelashes would glam up the Madonna look instantly!

You can apply a light pink blush on the cheeks. Dont go overboard with blushing. For Madonna’s lips, she used red! You took start y outlining the lips with a red lip liner and then fill it in with a red lipstick which can be semi matte.

Another favourite Madonna look of ‘80s is the one in the above picture. Madonna’s makeup is almost the same as the previous picture except that she got only a wash of lilac on her eye lids with a black winged eye liner.

Celebs in the India International Jewellery Week 2015

The India International Jewellery week of 2015 took place in Mumbai recently. It was a star studded affair with celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sania Mirza, Chitrangada Singh on Day 1. And stars like Soha Ali Khan, Evelyn Sharma, Hrishita Bhatt on the 2^nd Day. Day 3 of the event had Kirti Sanon, Dia Mirza, Illrna D’Cruz, Aditi Rao Hydari and also Madhur Bhandarkar. The IIJW 2015 started on 3^rd of August.

The India International Jewellery Week 2015 was inagurated by Sonam Kapoor. She wore an emerald green embroidered long dress with minimum makeup and statement earrings and bracelet.

Next up was our very favourite sportswoman, Sania Mirza who walked the ramp for Moni Agarwal, a Hyderabad based fashion designer. Sania was see in a purple pink Kancheepuram Varamahalakshmi silk saree.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Makeup Breakdown from the Vanity Fair Magazine Photo-Shoot

One of the most talked about cover girls of this year or may be decade is Caitlyn Jenner. She took the big plunge this year when she decided to follow her heart, and be what she always wanted to be. And thus the historic cover of Vanity Fair magazine was created! Caitlyn was photographed by Annie Leibovitz. And the dream beauty team consisting of Oribe, Mark Carassquilo and Deborah Lippmann helped Caitlyn achieve the flawless cover girl look.

Makeup artist Mark Carassquilo aimed at giving Ms Jenner a look of pretty 65 years old lady. In an interview, he listed all the products that he used on Caitlyn for her Vanity Fair Magazine photo-shoot.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Skincare - To begin with, Caitlyn’s skincare routine started with the Bioderma Sensibio H2O which was used to cleanse her face. This product is great for sensitive skin. After that SK-II Facial Treatment Mask was used on her face which was followed by Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil. The oil was massaged on her facial skin. For the lips, Lip Balm by La Mer was used.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Makeup - For Caitlyn Jenner’s makeup, makeup expert Carassquilo wanted to give her a semi-matte look without much sheen. Due to her extremely well defined facial feautures, contouring was not required. On her entire face the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation SPF 15 was used, followed by Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer. To fill Caitlyn’s eyebrows, Mark used Estee Lauder Stay-in-place Brow Lift Duo in Soft Brown Shade. After curling the eyelashes, Velour Mink Lashes was used. And that was topped by a few individual eye lashes. Estee Lauder More Than Mascara in Rich Black shade was used on her top and bottom lashes. To define the eyes more, on the top eye lid the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen was used in the color Black. Eyeshadow was used minimally, Mark used the Medium shade of Sculpting Powder by Kevyn Aucoin. On her cheeks, blush by Serge Lutens in Shade 2 was used, which is a soft peachy color.

For Caitlyn’s lips, just a lip pencil was used mixed with lip balm. It was the Serge Lutens Lip Pencil. Lipstick was not used. Serge Lutens Finishing Powder helped Mark to set Caitlyn’s makeup. This gave her a natural matte look. For another image, Mark used Nars Lipstick in Jungle Red. And gave her rich red pout.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Hair - For Caitlyn Jenner’s hair do, Oribe took inspiration from model Cindy Crawford. Oribe wanted to give her a glam sexy look To create volume the hairstylist used a Dry Texturizing Spray from his own brand. Post that the Signature Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray on her mane added shine and made her locks soft. And afterwards to maintain her hair and extensions, Oribe gave her the Oribe Masque and Shampoo and Conditioner.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Nails - For Caitlyn Jenner’s nails, Deborah Lippmann did not use any extensions, and gave her nails an almond shape. She first prepared the nails and moisturized them. And then she put on a red nail paint, it was the Lady Is A Tramp shade.

Miley Cyrus for MAC’s Viva Glam Campaign

Miley Cyrus is seen most of the time with her signature red pout, and this time while campaigning for MAC’s brand new Viva Glam campaign, Miley was seen in red, looking hotttt! The diva is heading the MAC Viva Glam lipstick campaign.

I just came across Miley Cyrus’s latest pictures from the MAC Viva Glam campaign photo shoot. She got crimson pout as a part of her signature style. While for her outfit, she wore a high-waisted shorts alongwith printed crop top. For her hair, she got a platinum blonde wig with bangs in front.

Miley Cyrus for the very first time collaborated with the premium cosmetic company MAC last fall and was seen in hot pink color. Just like last time, this time too the revenues generated from her Viva Glam shades will go to the MAC Aids fund in order to help children, women and men suffering from HIV or Aids. The Miley Cyrus MAC Viva Glam collection would be available on the MAC website September 8th onwards.

Makeup Look/Makeup Breakdown of Rani Mukherjee from Vogue August ’15 Issue

Recently I was going through a few fashion websites, and one best picture that caught my attention was Rani Mukherjee’s picture from the cover page of Vogue August 2015 issue. It seems the cousins are battling amongst themselves on who looks younger than the other, as Kajol too was seen as the cover girl of the Elle Magazine August edition. Interesting! Now, who is ageless, i am not the right person to comment on, however i really loved Rani’s look on the cover page of Vogue India magazine and hence thought of doing a makeup breakdown of Rani Mukherjee post.

The tight fitted, sleeveless floral dress from Dolce and Gabanna looked so perfect on Mrs Aditya Chopra. This particular issue has been named the Ageless, quite apt, huh? Well, i don’t wanna start on the topi whether this cover photo is photoshopped or not, lets just get into the details of Rani’s makeup from the Vogue mag cover.

Rani’s face looks flawless, so don’t forget to prep and prime your face properly first, then go over all the its and zaps and imperfections with a concealer. Finally, use a foundation to cover everything up, and to set the makeup well, do not forget translucent powder.

Eye makeup of Rani Mukherjee is pretty simple in this cover image. First apply some beige or champagne color as a wash on the upper eye lids. On the crease and outer V, apply some dark brown shadow. Put the same brown shadow on your lower lash line. Then take a black liner and apply it on the upper eye lid, winging it out. Dab some white shadow on the inner corner of the eyes. Finally take a curler and curl the eye lashes and apply generous coats of mascara.

Contouring the face is very important to achieve this Rani Mukherjee look. Her jaw looks chiselled and defined much. So take a matte brown bronzer and start putting it on the jawline, hollows of your cheeks, temples. Dont forget to blend. Finally, a dark pink blush can be applied light handedly on the apples of the cheeks, blusher is completely optional in this makeup look of Rani Mukherjee.

Coming to the lips of Rani Mukherjee in this picture, define the shape of the lips with a maroon lip liner and then apply a matte lipstick in maroon shade or oxblood color. Voila, your makeup is done!

Sunny Leone's Makeup Look from Jaane Do Na song in KKLH

Kuch Kuch Locha Hai is not a recent film, it had a May release, and am sorry i could not post this Sunny Leone Makeup Breakdown from Jaane Do Na song earlier. Anyways, Sunny Leone wore a red transparent chiffon saree in the first part of the song alongwith a red deep cut blouse, and she looked red hot as usual. Sunny Leone in saree is not a rare sight these days, but i don’t think she looked this pretty in saree before.

Sunny Leone’s saree look is very simple, the usual housewife type of look but with lot of sexual appeal. Makeup was kept minimalistic in the first part of the song where Sunny Leone draped on a red saree. She had a glowing dewy look. After applying foundation and concealer and powder well, she filled in the brows well with black brow powder. Moving on to the eye shadow, Sunny used a taupe or medium eye shadow and swept it all over the upper eyelids till the crease, she also got the same shadow on the lower lash line. She then dabbed on some light reflecting shadow on the middle part of the lids. And used a plum shadow to line the eyes thickly on top. Finally coats of mascara completed the look. I think individual lashes too may amp up the look.

On her cheeks, Sunny Leone applied some peach coral blush. Contouring is minimally done. However highlighting has been done well, especially above the apples of her cheeks. For Sunny’s lips, a very soft matte pink color has been used. A bit of sheen has been added on the centre of the lips to make them look fuller. A red bindi, jhumkas, and mangalsutra completed the Indian desi bride look of Sunny Leone.

This look of Sunny Leone is quite versatile for Indian women who wear Indian dress. Very light and subtle but helps to make one look fresh. Sunny Leone looked sexy and beautiful in the song, but this song is actually the newer version of the original Jaane Do Na song which had Dimple Kapadia and Rishi Kapoor from the film Saagar. And i really love the innocent yet playful look of Dimple Kapadia.

Fashionistas at the IIFA 2015

Well, i know i am very late in posting this particular post, but then i could not resist myself to write about the stunning divas who walked the green carpet at the IIFA 2015 with all elan and poise.

On another note, the 16^th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) took place on 5^th june this year at Malaysia. And heart-throbs Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were the hosts of the event.

The first diva is one of my personal favourites. Malaika Arora Khan proves it time and again, she can not only be a sexy bold tigress but can be the most charming angel on earth too! She is looking like a diva that she is, and every inch of her hot body is exuding oomph in that lacey flared white gown.

Sonakshi Sinha can really ‘Khamosh’ us with her fashion sense. She might not be the conventional size zero fashionista, but you know, fat on the right places never can go wrong. That pretty face was glowing when she wore the chic Monisha Jaising black dress which had a deep plunging neckline and of course sexy slits which were thigh high.

I really loved how Aditi Rao Hydari charmed the show and the green carpet walk in the printed gown created by Shantanu and Nikhil. Absolutely mesmerizing detailing at the waist line! She had minimal jewellery on her body and those dark lips gave her an uber cool look.

Jacqueline Fernandez can be called the modern day Disney princess. The sparkling green gown with thin straps made by Monisha Jaising looked nothing less than awesome on her bod. That bright pink pout can never go wrong!

Kriti Sanon might be still tagged as a newbie in the industry, but she is undoubtedly a pure Bollywood diva. The blue Bibhu Mohapatra gown is elegant. Her clutch was from Furla and ornaments from Miss Flurrty.

Well this list wont be complete if i don’t mention about Deepika Padukone since she is one of the reigning queens of Bollywood. We had high expectations from this Box Office queen but unfortunately her looks was not that flattering. The red beige sparkly saree by Sabyasachi had too much of bling and was too heavy for the dimpled gal it seemed. Also her makeup was too light for such an event, her rest of the face looked pale and washed out except her red lips, which saved her from committing a fashion and beauty disaster. We have seen Dippy in better fashionable ensembles than this with better makeup, this was kind of flat and not flattering! L

Huma Qureshi could have looked way better had she not chosen the color blocking saree gown by Shivan and Narresh. Her makeup is perfect and glam with smokey eyes, bun and gold earrings.

And last but not the least, Neha Dhupia should be mentioned in the list. She might be a name of the past in the Bollywood actress list, however she msnsges to stun the viewers everytime she attends events. She was seen on the green carpet in the white dress by Anamika Khanna with silver embroidery. She got the side bag from Amrapali.

Another offbeat style statement Neha made when she donned the white P.E.L.L.A draping dress. Her golden anklet and golden sandals looked extremely graceful. And the Edie Parker black clutch with LOVE inscribed on it, could not go unnoticed!

And just when we thought, Neha Dhupia was out there at IIFA 2015 giving white swans complex, she makes an entry with a very colourful bright ensemble, which is perfect to break the monsoon drab. She wore a sky blue printed cropped top with bright yellow separates by Neha Agarwal. To finish off the look, she carried a yellow cluth by Etre and for the shoes wore sequinned pumps by Isabel Marant. All three looks of Neha Dhupia were top-notch, and according to me the BEST at the IIFA 2015.
