Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder REVIEW

RATING :- 6.8 OUT OF 10

Having oily skin, i usually want a matte look to cope up with the oiliness and greasiness of my skin. So i am always on the hunt of matte makeup, and as you all know, compact powders help one a lot to mattify the makeup, so i am fond of pressed powders a lot. Today i got the Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Powder. It costs INR Rs 399 for a pack of 6g.

What Lóreal claims about the Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Powder ? : Matte Transforming Powder SPF 34 PA+++
The 1st magical matte all-in-one powder infused with volcanic perlite, a natural yet powerful sebum absorbant.

Magical Result :
1. Primes +
Poreless skin perfection that lasts, 12H Shine-free.
2. Perfects +
Covers pores and minimizes appearance of all blemishes and skin imperfections.
3. Brightens +
Impeccable instant fairness, complexion enjoys a just-out of shower fresh finish and sensation.
Non comedogenic.
Dermatologist Tested.
Allergy Tested.

How to use ? : To use, apply evenly with sponge all over face and neck. Suitable for everyday use and for all skin types.

Ingredients : Talc, Perlite, Titanium Dioxide, Cornstarch, Kaolin, Magnesium Stearate, Vinyl Dimethicone, Aluminium Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Tocopherol etc.

The outer cover is made up of cardboard and pink and black in color. Inside you get a transparent plastic case with some designs made up of pink color. The packaging is just plain, nothing great. You wont definitely get a Lóreal feeling once you open the box, however you need to stay close to reality and have the price tag in mind. Now the case got two openings, first is the compact powder slot, and when you open the back side, you get a small mirror and sponge. The puff i think is of no use, as i prefer to use compact powders with a large powder brush or kabuki brush than sponges or puffs. Anyways, the Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder is travel friendly and quite small so will get inside most makeup bags.

Swatch of Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder
I got Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Powder in shade G2 Golden Ivory. There are quite a number of choices to make when it comes to shade, which will suit the Indian skin tones. Thats really a nice thing. The compact powder is very light-weight and is great if you are just casually heading out and just need something light on your face apart from sunscreen. Also that it contains SPF is really good, since you can simply opt out your sunblock lotion if you are wearing this, very convenient. I simply would disagree on the poreless part and that it covers imperfections, no it does not work as a cover-up concealer, and wont be working as a foundation even. If you have big pores, this wont cover up, be assured about it. If you keep piling on the powder thinking it might cover up pores, then it will clog your pores, and nothing else. You just need a simple single layer of the face powder, and it will keep the face matte for an hour or so, thereafter you would need touch-ups.

The Lóreal face powder does not keep up the claim of giving 12 hours matte look. At least not for oily skinned people like me. It might give a bit of instant brightness or whitness i would say, however if applied properly it wont cast any whitish shade. Lóreal Paris Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder is a budget-friendly compact powder, and you can buy this one not only because its from Lóreal brand but it does the work well. It might not stay for a long time, but with frequent touch-ups you can handle the issue. I wont be repurchasing the same product though as i feel i have not found my perfect compact powder yet.

Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation Review

RATING :- 7.5 OUT OF 10

Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation is one of my recent purchases. I got this in the shade 13 Rose Beige. It comes in a plastic tube with black twist open cap. It contains 35 ml of the product and costs INR Rs 1399. It does not have any fragrance.

What Lóreal claims about Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation ? : Introducing new infalliable 24 H Matte Foundation by Lóreal Paris. A matte result that lasts upto 24 hours. Clinically proven, waterproof, steamproof. All the comfort, none of the shine. Perfect coverage. No cakey effect. Easy to apply, enriched with perlite technology, and reduces the appearance of shine upto 24 hours.

Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation is basically a foundation which will suit oily and acne-prone skin a lot as it dries in an instant and does not make the face look shiny or dewy. It totally gives a matte look as has been promised. However, for dry skinned people this wont be a good option unless they have applied a thick layer of moisturizer before applying this. Since the product dries very fast, you have to work fast with the foundation as during application too this dries out. So that is one disadvantage of this product.

The Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation settles in the fine lines and any open pores of the skin, so that is another big disadvantage of the product. While applying i have seen i need this foundation a bit more than the other foundations that i usually use like the Lóreal Infalliable Foundation and the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. The coverage that it provides is kind of light to medium, not full coverage, so you need a concealer to cover up any dark spots or blemishes or pigmentation on the skin. I did not notice any patchiness or cakiness yet. Regarding mattifying effect, as i already said it gives a matte look which stays well for hours at least 5-6 hours, but then i get some oiliness around my nose after an hour or so as usual.

I would say this is quite a nice foundation for oily skinned girls, so you might like to give this a try. Even though the claim of 24 hours mattifying look does not seem to be working, but definitely this Lóreal Paris Infalliable 24-H Matte foundation helps to keep up the matte look for longer hours than other foundations which makes the face look shiny and oily within half an hour.

Lóreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer Review

RATING :- 2 OUT OF 10

I had reviewed the Lóreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer long back in this blog, however recently when i went through it, i did not like the presentation so when i got this new pack of the concealer, i thought to write the review once again. It contains 5.2 ml of the product and costs INR Rs 990. There is no fragrance, and the product comes in a plastic tube. I believe you can get 3 shades of the concealer in the online stores, namely Light, Medium and Deep. I purchased the shade Light.

What Lóreal claims about the Lóreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer ? : Lóreal Paris True Match Concealer is a liquid concealer that helps smooth fine lines and minimize wrinkles instantly. This impeccable concealer "bridges" fine lines and wrinkles for an instantly smoother and firmer look. The concealer comes with skin brightening ingredients which helps reduce redness and uneven skin tone.
  • Extremely light on skin, hence does not give your face a cakey look.
  • Ideal for all skin types.
  • Great consistency and does not fade off easily.

How to use ? : For fine application, use the crayon point to cover imperfections. For broad application, sweep the side of the crayon for coverage of larger areas, such as under eye.

To start off, the shade light did not match my skin tone, it is way too whiter for my skin tone. Lóreal should have got something for yellowish skintone, since this is more suitable for pinkish skintone. And the medium shade would get darker on my skintone. So lack of shades is a major problem for  Lóreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer. Also it casts some white shade on the areas where i have applied and might leave some patchiness if the skin is not smooth. The application is quite smooth, and the concealer is indeed light-weight and absorbs really fast. I dont know if this will be a good concealer for dry skinned people as i think it dries out pretty fast.

The applicator brush is not very harsh on the skin, so thats a good thing about the Lóreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer. The concealer simply wont work as a spot corrector, so if you have been misguided to buy this to cover up imperfections and black spots on your skin, you may not be happy. I think it is more of a highlighter rather than a cover up concealer. However, this works a bit on the under-eye circles. The coverage is sheer or light.

Finally, i would say the product gets a big thumbs down for me. It does not suit my need to cover imperfections and spot marks.
