My shopping experience with Limeroad

Online shopping is really fun and not tiring! Thats why i mostly stick to online shopping. I always love to try new e-commerce sites. Limeroad.com is relatively a new e commerce site, and i had never shopped from the site, until last month. Now, i got 3 neck pieces from limeroad, and i will provide details about those stuffs, but first i would love to write a bit about the website.

I totally love so much of variety. From footwear to clothing, kitchen utility products to home decor stuffs and lot more can be found in the site. Also they have the option wherein users of the site can create collections or looks of their own in the form of ‘scrapbook’ and provide inspiration to others. The Designer section of the site deserves a special mention. Those who love designerwear, this site is really going to be an awesome fun site to go through and shop from.

Now, the first item that i received from limeroad is the red and gold beaded necklace. Extremely funky looking and one can wear it with Indian outfits as well as western outfits.  It came in a black box and inside there was a lot of cushioning. When i wore it, the lock got detached, so i got a bit dissapointed, but when i approached the customer care, they took care of it, and changed the piece. And the response was on the same day, so was really amazing! The price is around Rs 500 including shipping charges, so is very reasonable i must say.

The next item was the embedded pearl necklace. This is also around Rs 500 including shipping. This necklace got a classy look. Its not just a pearl necklace but got chains around too, which makes it quite different from a simple pearl neck piece. Whether one is wearing a saree or a normal top, this will go with any outfit. The packaging was neat, came in a white box and the necklace was bubble-wrapped inside.

The last item is my favourite right now! It is the emerald stone necklace. It is less than Rs 500 including shipping, but looks magnificent. This one really stole my heart! This came in a cute little black box. I think i am going to wear this neck piece a lot and lot!

Overall, this online shopping website has really impressed me. I am planning to buy some clothes next time from limeroad.  I would recommend this website to you if you are planning to buy something online.

Triveni Kolkata Meet by Triveni

Kolkata, February 7 2016: Triveni Meet, a social engagement of saree and ethnic wear enthusiasts was organized on Sunday, by Triveni a Surat based leading retailer of ethnic wear, especially known for sarees. The event was crossroad of bloggers, ethnic wear and saree lovers and Triveni’s insight and ideas upon ethnic wears. The event was held at at Oxford Book store, 17 Park Street, Kolkata.

On the ‘Fresh – February’s one of the rosy Sundays women with an ethnic connect and some with curious amazement participated in the Triveni meet. Many of them shared their musings and excitement over the two sessions in which the event was spread. Mr. Arvind Saraf, Director, Triveni introduced the brand and spoke about the vision of spreading the endemic heredity since expanding beyond sarees and dealing with all sorts of ethnic wear for men, women and kids. Ladies present at the event were then introduced to many fabrics and their characteristics. Attendees were eager to know about the specialty of the sarees and their distinct appeal. Much awaited part of the meet approached when Ms. Dolly Jain took the stage and everyone present was left gasping with her unique fete of draping a saree in most velocious and elegant fashion. Ms. Jain is a world renowned saree draper, who also happens to be the Limca and India Book of record holder for draping a saree into 125 unique styles. The very fun, sprightly - Le Debonair bloggers who attended the event were found clicking pictures, mingling with each other over the splendid grace of sarees at session end.

Attendees shared their experiences and memoirs related to sarees. Stating about their delight after being left informative and amazed, bloggers at the meet stated how they have developed the confidence of wearing one regardless of their body frame, thanks to the meet. The event was channelized by Arvind Saraf, Director, Triveni. Checking the brightness of the event, Saraf described the meet informative and involving. Speaking about further such activities, Saraf added that Triveni has always endeavored to get people involved and evolve as ‘People’s brand’. Hence, many such associations are looked forward to.

Celebs in the India International Jewellery Week 2015

The India International Jewellery week of 2015 took place in Mumbai recently. It was a star studded affair with celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sania Mirza, Chitrangada Singh on Day 1. And stars like Soha Ali Khan, Evelyn Sharma, Hrishita Bhatt on the 2^nd Day. Day 3 of the event had Kirti Sanon, Dia Mirza, Illrna D’Cruz, Aditi Rao Hydari and also Madhur Bhandarkar. The IIJW 2015 started on 3^rd of August.

Day 1 :-

The India International Jewellery Week 2015 was inagurated by Sonam Kapoor. She wore an emerald green embroidered long dress with minimum makeup and statement earrings and bracelet.

Next up was our very favourite sportswoman, Sania Mirza who walked the ramp for Moni Agarwal, a Hyderabad based fashion designer. Sania was see in a purple pink Kancheepuram Varamahalakshmi silk saree.

Juhi Chawla looked absolutely stunning in her velvety attire. She exhibited gold malas from the House of Tanishq.

The IIJW 2015 also had Chitrangada Singh on Day 1. She was decked up like a ride with diamond jewellery designed by Shobha Shringar.

Day 2 at the IIJW 2015 was fun-filled. Soha Ali Khan mesmerized everyone as she walked the ramp for Surya Golds. She even got groovy on the stage, which the audience as well as the models loved!

Evelyn Sharma was the showstopper for the GDK Jewels show. She was seen on the ramp wearing a choker diamond neck-piece, matching bangles and earrings.

Hrishita Bhatt created magic onstage with her black long gown. The head accessory completely floored us.

Television actress Kamya Panjabi was seen walking the ramp too as she flaunted a statement neck-piece alongwith maang tikka.

Kirti Sanon was all decked up in jewels ad walked the ramp for Sunil Jewellers. A maang tikka made up of stones and ruby, a rani haar encrafted with precious jewels, ruby ring, kada completed her look.

Aditi Rao Hydari leaves us amazed whenever she is o the runway. This time too, she wore a black floor length gown with a heavy silver-pearl necklace while she walked for Yoube Jewellers.

Illena D’Cruz was the showstopper of the show, Jewels by Preeti. Illena was wearing a yellow gown alongwith multi-toned jewellery.

Dia Mirza wore a heavy anarkali suit with gold collar neckpiece. Not a favourite here though!

Sophie Choudry became the showstopper for the show of Diosa Jewels which was in association with Swarovski Gemstones. She wore a green dress with a layered diamond necklace which had a flower on the side made up of ruby and crystals.

Richa Chadda was also seen on the IIJW 2015 3^rd Day while she walked the ramp for Anand Shah. She was in white with knotted ear cuffs and on her neck she wore a cummerband neck piece.

Last but not the least, Kiara Advani was the showstopper for AAKS. She looked royal in that maangtikka and pearl drop neckpiece with ruby.

How to Wear Right Jewellery during Monsoon

During the monsoon, the rate of perspiration as well as humidity rises. And this often damages our jewellery. So, in this post i shall provide a few tips to pick the right jewellery for monsoon or rainy season.

1.    Opt for plastic jewelleries. Choose plastic funky jewelleries in bold vibrant colors. Avoid wearing metallic jewelleries during the humid monsoon season.

2. Getting over-accessorized wont make you look fashionable, usually. Choose statement jewellery pieces like a good bold neck piece, or a thick broad bangle or even long earrings. This will help you be comfortable and look stylish. Whatever you wear, the accessories should be light and you must be able to carry that well with ease and comfort. Comfort is very much important when it comes to accessorizing right during hot rainy season.

I    3. If you love long earrings, keep your neck bare, do not wear any necklace. However, if you wear a chunky necklace on the neck, you can wear small studs on your ears or ear cuffs.

4. Broad thick bangles will cover a lot of your hand, so you do not need to wear anything else on your hands, if you are wearing such a bangle. Multi-colored strappy watches or watches with big dials are also another way of accessorizing your hands in the monsoon stylishly.

5. Avoid any metallic jewellery or watches with metallic straps as they might get damaged during the rainy season, unless they are waterproof or water-resistant. Also any kind of trendy jewellery made up of wood, jute should not be worn during the monsoon.

Bang Bang Bangles are back with a BANG!

Yes girls, this season take out all those funky chunky pieces of bangles that you ever had, u might borrow from your momma too, and flaunt yourselves in a new style. Bracelets may not be an IN thing in the fashion scenario these days, however sporting a bauble is very chic and cool.

Accessorizing the right way always make a girl look uber cool drawing all the attention on her! Bangles are often treated as a part of the Indian ethnic look. Especially some of the mod girls would just avoid wearing bubles with the excuse that they don’t wear a saree or salwar kameez or kurti churidaar to match up with the ethnic feminine look. But girl, now you can accessorize your hands with bangles even if you dress up in western casual wear. Many celebs, fashionistas totally do it, and look really good.

The most casual dress up would be you in blue denim jeans with some loose t-shirt. Sounds very familiar, right? Why don’t you spice up everything from just being plain Jane. Add some bangles on your hands. Simple.

Next up, if you are wearing prints dresswise, go for bangles which are in solid colors. Avoid too much of print or designs on the bangles. However if you are into mix and match of accessories and don’t mind wearing more than a pair of bangles, you may include beaded bangles too with this particular look.

An easy peasy way to select the bangles would be to match the outerwear you are wearing with the bangles. You can select same colored bangles.

If you are into sequinned and embellished dresses, you can pair it up with gold bangles. Make sure your bag is embellished too, to match up. And just to make everything funny and stylish in a different way, you may wear sneakers.

If you don’t find a chance to wear your favourite bangles, then don’t worry, just wear them on both the wrists. It does not need to compliment each other or be in pairs. Be casual with this. And you can try this with a really summertime halter-neck flowy medium dress or a backless dress.
