Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Mask is for those ladies who skip sunscreen either due to their hectic schedule or due to skin problems. Though I use sunscreen on a daily basis, I gave this product a try, as an after sun remedy. It is supposed to keep tan at bay. If your skin is under treatment, and you cant use a sunscreen on your skin, and keep it for long hours, a mask comes to help.

What Lakme claims about Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Mask – “

It is an easy rinse off mask that visibly helps lighten sun tanning and skin brightening. A soothing clay based mask, it acts to fight sun darkening and lighten skin with regular use. Specially formulated with cucumber and Lemon grass extracts it also soothes and detoxifies skin and leaves a tingling fresh and clean feel.”

Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Mask priced around Rs 150 for 50 gm. You need to apply the product evenly on your skin, and massage it gently in a circular motion upwards. Then just leave it on your skin to dry for 15 minutes, and after that rinse it well. Lakme recommends to use Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Gel to be used after the application of the mask for best results, but I have not tried it yet.

Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Mask is quite thick and is white in color. It dried out very quickly, and it did not make my skin break out. It has a soothing effect, may be due to the lemon grass extracts present in it. It has got a citrus fragrance, just like its sunscreens. If you have a mild tanning, it removes the tanning to a great extent, but not applicable for old tans. After washing off the mask, I felt my face looking much fair, but it did not last long. The mask also evens out skin tone. The price is affordable, and the mask also cleanses the skin well.

Lakme Sun Expert After Sun Skin Lightening Mask is a fine product, I am happy! And going by the reviews of women who used this mask without applying sunscreen, I see, the mask works well. However it fails to remove older tans, and does not lighten the skin tone.

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ Review

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ is the product which I purchased recently. Previously I was using Lotus’s sunscreen, and wanted to give this a try. So here is a review on it.

Lakme claims – “With cucumber & lemon grass extracts and satin feel sunscreen makes your skin soft and supple.Helps to make look more even fair and translucent and keep it guarded from the sun.”

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ costs around INR Rs 250 for 500 ml. It has got a lemony grassy fragrance which stays on. It comes in a pump bottle, so its easy to get the desired quantity of product ,and also good to carry while you travel.

This product is for normal to dry skin, so if you are having oily skin like me, you are not going to be happy with the product. The SPF content is rather high in Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++, although the Lotus sunscreen that I use is also having the same SPF and suitable for oily skin. Ofcourse this post is not going to be a comparison blog on the two brands! But I felt when I sweat after using the Lakme sunscreen, it makes my face a bit greasy. Also its thick, and makes my face look a bit whitish, and not so easy to be blended!

I would recommend this product to girls who have normal to dry skin, I have heard it is best for those skin types. But me having oily skin, this does not suit me. Well, one thing I must add here, that Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ did not make my skin break out. So for rest of my body, on the exposed parts I am going to apply this.
