Obesity has taken over the society , especially urban middle class ,like an epidemic . Present day life style is a great catalyst in nourishing its roots. Now it is the wake-up time to counter this epidemic and to ensure to create a healthy society because a healthy society is made of healthy people and as we know ,it is imperative that the healthy body has a healthy mind which has the most important role to play in the human life and ,thereby,in the social development.
For this purpose ,there are different ways to curb obesity like Ayurveda , surgical as well as physical exercises. All these forms make the excessive fat the real culprit to create obesity. Though ,fat is necessary to release energy for the body functions, its excess cause the obesity.
Apart from all these ways ,there are certain tips to fight obesity while living normally our day-to-day life .These are as:-
- First we should consult a doctor to help us reduce the weight .
- Keep ourselves motivated to lose weight and make some short term realistic goals.
- Keep strict vigil on our own eating habits and calorie intake .
-Cut down the intake of high fats and sugar .
-Indulge in the physical activities which suits to us .
-Besides that, aerobic exercises, such as, jogging , swimming and cycling will also do.
-Yoga ,especially Pranayam,under the watchful eyes of a trainer, is a very important way to burn the fat and keep the body as well as mind fit.
- Sleeping for lesser periods,especially in the afternoon ,help increase the burning of calories.
- Healthy sex is also one of the most important methods which reduces obesity and keep the person fit.

In a nutshell ,there are many ways to fight the obesity, but , above all , the most important is that one should stay motivated to reduce weight and keep oneself fit. Only this way, we can successfully fight the obesity in urban life.
