Atkins Diet is the diet to reduce the fat content in the body. It is the diet to limit

carbohydrate consumption. It is created by Dr. Robert Atkins and is officially called as

Atkins Nutritional Approach. Initially, he applied this diet to himself in order to reduce

his own overweight body. Being successful, he popularized this diet vide a series of

books. His first book is ‘Dr. Atkin’s Diet Revolution’ and it is released in the year 1972.

His continuous research and interaction with the concerned helped him to improve

his diet program, though he maintained his original concept unaltered. The same is

reflected in his subsequent book releases. His second book is named as ‘Dr. Atkins

New Diet Revolution’.
