The product which I am in love with these days, a recent purchase, Coloressence Color Your Spirit Cake Eyeliner will be reviewed by me today. This is a cake eyeliner which means it’s a dry eyeliner in a compressed form. You can use it for 2 purposes –
a) Eyeliner : You just need to take an eyeliner brush, dip it in water a bit, and then take some cake liner in the brush and apply!
b) Eyeshadow : Just take an eyeshadow brush and take some of the product in the brush and apply it on your eyes.
I definitely love the eyeshadow mode of the Coloressence Color Your Spirit Cake Eyeliner. Its a black matte eyeshadow. The cake eyeliner is not in gel form nor is it powdery, and that makes it so amazing! You can blend the product really well and therefore can be easily used to make smokey eyes.
What Coloressence claims about the product - Special compressed powder cake eye liner which has unique waterproof property. Gives definition to the eyes. It remains effective for a long time with its water resistant formula. Available in black colour. Use it with wet eyeliner brush to define the eyes.
Here’s the ingredients list : Bees wax, Citrus bergamia extract, carrot seed extract. 100% vegetarian. No animal ingredients.
The packaging is quite decent, a black plastic container with a transparent lid. The price of Coloressence Color Your Spirit Cake Eyeliner is under INR Rs 300, so that makes it pretty cheap. The pigmentation of the product is quite good, and it has got some shimmers in it to give it a nice sheen.
Now coming to the eyeliner mode of Coloressence Color Your Spirit Cake Eyeliner, I am not happy with it as an eyeliner, first of all it smudges easily, which is good for an eyeshadow but a thumbs down for an eyeliner. Secondly, it does not stay for long when used as liner, though it stays on longer when used dry as an eyeshadow. Thirdly its not waterproof. Fourthly it does not comes with an eyeliner brush or eyeshadow brush.
But I am ready to forget all those negative points of Coloressence Color Your Spirit Cake Eyeliner, since its really within everyone’s budget and as an eyeshadow I would give it A+, at the same time, reiterating that as an eyeliner it has failed to create a good impact on my mind!! Definitely I am going to buy this product this month or next, since I love it as an eyeshadow and want to stock it up.
