I purchased L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum two days back, when I went to buy shampoo. Well I got a new shampoo, and will be reviewing it very soon, but now its Serum time!

Its caring formula works at 2 levels:
• When applied, it instantly attaches itself to damaged areas, repairs and unifies the hair's surface, creating a protective shield against further damage and split ends.
• Nourishes and smoothens your hair from root to tip; hair feels silky, looks healthy and is easy to style.
Ingredients - Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Alcohol denat, Limonene, Benzyl salicylate, Linalool, Benzyl alcohol, 2-oleamido-1, 3-octadicanediol, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Geraniol, Butylphenyl , Methylpropional, Citronellol, Hexyl cinnamal, Fagrance (F.I.L. C37906/1).
When it comes to haircare, I love to try various products and brands. So this time I picked up this serum, though generally I am not a lover of hair serums. Also, I have used the L’oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo, long time back, which I felt was unnecessarily hyped all because of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The cost of L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum is INR Rs 125 for a pack of 40 ml. The bottle is kind of weird shaped, I mean funny looking with such a disproportionate head (cap). White bottle with red cap, well red looks sexy, anytime! The serum is oily, and texture is runny.
Talking of the results, it manages frizzes well, just like any other serums do. You get kind of shiny glossy hair. Also my hair is dry, so the L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum kind of smoothens them and detangles the messed up hair. It evaporates and does not make the hair look oily, we should give a bonus point for this!
The price is quite affordable, so no complaints regarding that. But does the L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Instant Smoothing and Nourishing Oil Serum really repairs the damaged hair surface? I doubt!
