Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette Review

RATING : 8.5 OUT OF 10

By now, almost all of out there have gathered much information about the Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette, now here’s aEsThEtIcS review on the product.

The cost of the entire palette is US $ 27 and the palette is especially made for neutral eyeshadow lovers. Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette has 6 eyeshadows namely –

Venus, which is an off-white color. It’s a bit frosted shade, can be applied on the brow bone region. The pigmentation is good. Also the texture of the shadow is soft.

Foxy, which is light yellow or beige color

Walk of Shame, which is very light pinkish nude color

Naked 2, which is light taupe color. It has a bit of brown and gray in it.

Faint, which is a warm brown color

Crave, which is darkest brown or black color. Its safer to say that the shade is actually black having some brown undertones.

Now, this eyeshadow palette is a must-have in one’s vanity if he/she is a fan of matte eyeshadows, just like me! All the colors are absolutely matte. The palette is tiny in size, I would say and has minimal eyeshadow colors. So in a way we can say that Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette is indeed travel friendly. The packaging is compact and is also light in weight. However, even though the palette looks tiny, inside you get full-sized eyeshadows. The palette is made up of rubber and does not get dirty due to finger prints as it can wiped off easily.

Now, there is one issue with this palette, if you have already got the other Urban Decay Naked Palette, and intending to buy this, you might get some common colors in both the palettes, so before purchasing, please be sure, you need the other few shadows in this Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette which are not available in the other palette. There is a similarity in between Crave and Blackout, Venus and Bootycall, Naked 2 and Naked 1, Faint and Buck. However there are just 3 shades in lighter tones in the Basic palette which are different.

One thing must be mentioned here and that is the super wonderful texture of the eyeshadows. It is silky and smooth and not at all powdery. The color payoff is really great. And additionally, all the shadows in the Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette stay on for whole day with the use of eyeshadow primer, isn’t that amazing!
