Ranbaxy Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock Review

RATING :- NULL / DISSATISFIED

I love sunscreens and i hardly go out outdoors without applying a sunblock or sunscreen. So, over the past couple of years i have been using few varieties of sunscreen to know what works best for me. The Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock from Ranbaxy was dermatologist recommended. It contains 60 ml of the lotion and costs INR 361.

What Ranbaxy claims about the Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock? : Suncros 50 Aqualotion (SPF 50) provides complete broad spectrum sun protection for sensitive skin and suitable to all skin types. It is indicated to provide protection from UVB rays and deep penetrating UVA rays to prevent tanning, sun burn and premature ageing of the skin.

NON GREASY.

Broad Spectrum – Protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

Ingredients : Octinoxate, Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Octocrylene, Zinc Oxide, Base.

Now coming to what i felt after using the Ranbaxy Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock. The packaging is simple white plastic bottle with pump dispenser. The lotion is a bit runny and though the company claims its not greasy, but i find this to be quite greasy and oily when applied on skin. Dry skinned girls may find this to be okay, but if you got oily skin, this sunscreen lotion wont work for you. I need to puff a lot of powder on my face after applying the sunscreen lotion. Or else my face looks like a oil slick.

One needs to be extremely cautious when we apply the sunscreen near the eyes. If it gets a tad bit in the eyes, it will start stinging and watering, and one wont have any option left except washing off the sunscreen and reapplying the sunblock lotion. Ranbaxy Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock also takes a long time to absorb on the skin, and yes this is NOT suitable for oily skin. It got a smell just like Nivea cream, which i like. And just like cream you need to massage and blend for quite sometime to get it set onto the skin. So if you are in a hurry, there is a possibility of messing it up. And of course this sunblock would fail miserably if you try mixing foundation with this or try to apply foundation after you have applied this sunblock. You will be able to apply makeup in patches only!

Very disappointed with Ranbaxy Suncros 50 Aqualotion SPF 50 Sunblock and there is nothing good about this sunblock except the fragrance.
