RATING – 4 OUT OF 10
Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser is one of the latest products launched by Garnier. Well, the advertisement of the product has Priyanka Chopra in a yellow short outfit, which I found “childish” but this post is not about PC, its about the product – so let me stick to the topic.
Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser claims that it will deliver you a matte effect if you are having oily skin. “No Chip Chip” …. As said by Piggy Chops in the garnier advertisement. The product is supposed to be totally oil free and sweat free. Its priced at INR Rs 62 for a pack of 18gm tube, so that’s real moderate pricing.
What Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser claims to give you ? –
Fairness + dark spots reduction.
Light texture absorbs oil
UV filters.
Tested in Indian weather

Now Garnier puts at rest all inquisitive minds, by telling how the product works on skin.
Oil trapping formula to help remove dullness and control excess oil.
Pure lemon essence to clarify and smoothen skin.
Absorbing Powder with ingredients known to have absorbing power.
UV filters known for protection against the sun.

The ingredients present in Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser : Water, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Alcohol Denat, Nicinamide, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Fragrance etc.
Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser has a creamy consistency and mattifies the skin when applied. But the mattifying effect does not stay long! It adds some sort of brightness to the face, and wont cast a whitish shade on your face. It does not have a strong smell, so that’s nice. Also its an inexpensive moisturiser which is budget friendly.
But I bought this Garnier Light Oil Free Moisturiser to get oil free skin, so what about that? It fails miserably to please me. Also Garnier does not mention how much SPF it contains, so are we going to brainstorm and guess it all by ourselves? If you have combination skin, you can go ahead and try. But I have oily acne prone skin, so I wont ever be repurchasing the product, and gave the unfinished pack to my maid!
