NARS Powder Foundation Review

REVIEW : 8.8 OUT OF 10

NARS Powder Foundation costs US $ 45. I got to use this powder foundation for 3 to 4 times. I did not buy it myself. So I am going to write the review based on the experience.

What NARS claims about NARS Powder Foundation - An advanced, lightweight formula that fuses the performance of a foundation with the ease of a powder. Skin looks perfected with a soft-matte finish and is protected against UVA and UVB rays. Incredibly versatile, it may be applied with a powder brush for a sheer, natural finish, or with the included sponge for a polished and smooth finish.
* SPF 12 and PA++ protection
* Lightweight, non-drying velvety finish; effortless application

* Narscosmetics.com exclusive shades Sweden and Lapoine are ideal for Asian skin tones
Application Tips from NARS experts – 1. Use the Loose Powder Brush for transparent coverage. Rock and roll the Botan Brush for more coverage. –Shayna Shapiro, Lead Trainer
2. Powder Foundation can be used over liquid foundation or alone. For an extra matte effect, use the sponge to press powder on the nose, chin and in between the eyebrows. –Raquel Grijalva, National Makeup Stylist

It comes in a compact case, as you can see in the picture. I have gone through the NARS website and found that the foundation is available in 16 shades. Though the NARS Powder Foundation is powdery in form, it acts like a liquid foundation. Application is quite easy. Also it comes with SPF 12. Its not at all heavy and also its blendable.

NARS Powder Foundation provides protection from both UVA and UVB which can cause premature ageing as well as sun burns. Though the price is really high, but the foundation stays on long, unlike most powder foundations I have used till date. It gives medium coverage.

Since I do have oily skin, powder foundations are the best for my type of skin. I wore it alone, but then had to use a concealer to cover the blemishes and spots. One can also use it over liquid foundation. You can use the sponge or a kabuki brush to apply the NARS Powder Foundation.
