How to use honey to get rid of acne scars

Honey is one such substance which has numerous benefits. It has medicinal properties as well as many other benefits. Recently, its proved that honey can fade away scars too. So, in this article we shall tell how honey can be used to fade away scars.

What type of honey to use to get rid of scars – Honey which we find at any grocery store are generally processed and therefore have very less therapeutic benefits. To obtain best results, you need to use unprocessed and unfiltered honey which has not been heated. So, raw honey is the best option in this case, it contains concentrated nectar which is made by honey bees.

How will honey fade away scars – Honey has lot of natural benefits like it helps in healing process and can treat wounds effectively, and also aids in tissue regeneration. It has natural anti-bacterial properties as well as moisturizing properties and so it can not only remove acne scars from the body and face, but also soften the skin’s surface.

How to use honey to fade away acne scars – You will need to follow a certain procedure while using honey to get rid of the acne scars. Take 2 tablespoonful each of honey and olive oil and mix it well. Apply it on the skin, massage for at least 5 minutes. Dont rinse off the mixture at this point, we have a few things more to do.

Now, take a clean piece of washcloth or gauze, boil it in a saucepan or even a microwave will do. And once its quite hot, let it cool down a bit and make sure it does not burn your skin. Then, place the hot cloth on your face and rinse off the mixture and any excess oil from your skin.

The skin will become softer and all dead skin cells can be removed easily. Do this at least 2 to 3 times every week, and you will see the results soon.

However, if the scar is really small, you can apply the mixture directly on the scar using your finger, and leave it for full night. Next morning, just wash it off with plain water.
