Himalaya Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash REVIEW

RATING :- 7.5 OUT OF 10

Himalaya Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash is one of my recent purchases. Being oily-skinned i have to rely on face washes a lot and therefore i love trying out new face washes always. Now, this one comes in a 200 ml pack and costs INR Rs 170. And the best part of the face wash is it smells amazing! Trust me. And the smell lingers on for quite sometime even after you have washed off with water and patted the skin dry with a towel. I just love the fresh feel it gives me.

Ingredients : Aqua, Citrus Medica Limonum Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Honey, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Sodium Metabisulfite, Disodium EDTA etc

What Himalaya claims about the Himalaya Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash ? : A soap-free herbal formulation that gently cleanses your face and removes excess oil. Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash is enriched with lemon, an astringent and cooling agent, and honey which has natural deep-cleansing properties. Unlike soap, your face will not feel dry and stretched. Use regularly for clean, fresh and glowing skin.

Directions for use : Moisten face and neck; apply a small amount of Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily. Follow with Himalaya Nourishing Face Moisturizing Lotion. Use Himalaya Clarifying Mud Pack once a week to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin.

Coming to how i felt after using the Himalaya Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash, this is just like any other face wash, and kind of light, does not get a lot of lather even if you massage it in circular motion for a long time. As you can see in the picture, it is a transparent gel kind of face wash with dark blue or navy blue microbeads in it. The packaging is also simple, its just a plastic clear bottle with a pump dispenser in white. Initially i faced too much of difficulty when i tried to remove the seal to use product, the pump dispenser simply would not work even when i twisted the top as instructed. After several trials, i finally succeeded. So, that's one thing which i really hated about this face wash packaging. Also the packaging is not travel-friendly.

Regarding excess oil removal, i have not noticed any major change after using this face wash daily twice. Even after using Himalaya Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash my skin as usual used to get oily in just one hour or so. So the claims by the company seem not to be true. But it has also been mentioned that it does not have any soap in it and is made up of natural ingredients and hence mild on the skin, therefore, its great for the winter season. And definitely can be tried by normal skinned people. It cleanses the skin well though and i feel the skin to be quite fresh after using this.
