I have been using the Bio-Oil
for a month now, 31 days to be precise. So, i thought today is the right time
to write a review, even though as per the instructions, we need to use this for
at least 3 months. Before i get into the review, let me tell you i have lot of
stretch marks on my upper arms, side of my breasts as well as on both sides of
my thighs and buttocks. So, obviously i started using this anti-stretch mark
oil to get rid of these stretch marks or at least improve the appearance of
them. Also i had too much of back-acne a year back, so those scars are still
there on my upper arms and shoulder. So, i thought Bio-Oil
might be helpful to reduce those scars.

Paraffinum Liquidum, Isopropyl Myristate, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Chamomile oil,
Lavender oil, Calendula oil, Rosemary oil, Bisabolol etc.
What
Bio-Oil
claims about the Bio-Oil Skincare oil? : Bio-Oil
is a specialist skincare product formulated to help improve the appearance of
scars, stretch mark and uneven skin tone. Its unique formulation, which
contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil, is also highly effective
for ageing and dehydrated skin.
Bio-Oil skincare oil
comes in a plastic bottle which is pinkish peach in color with a white cap. And
the outer carton is made up of paper. The oil got a very sweet light fragrance,
and its light-weight, if you massage well, 90% of the oil will absorb in the
skin. However i had a few breakouts after applying this, so don’t know how long
i will be able to use this. Also i use the oil once a day after bath, only on
the affected areas. So if you use twice a day, one bottle will last a month i
guess. It contains 60 ml of the product and costs INR Rs 450.
Sadly, i did not see any improvement so far. The
stretch marks are there as it is also the scars are as it is, did not lighten
or fade so far! Since its instructed that one should use the Bio-Oil at least for 3 months, i might
buy another bottle and continue usage. But i don’t think this is going to be
that effective as it claims to be. Once you have the stretch-marks, its
difficult to get rid of those. Same goes for scars.
So, i might post another review next month if i
happen to continue using this. Frankly, till now am not happy with this Bio-Oil skincare Oil, but lets give it
another try.
