The emo punk look is very popular these days amongst the youngsters. Every boy and girl loves to experiment with his or her looks. If you are not sure about emo, then let us tell you here, emo is basically a theme based on gothic punk background, and there is also a specific music genre based on this theme. Now besides music, emo punk theme has entered the world of makeup, and carved a makeup genre of itself.

Emo is always trending for a lot of girls, who are never afraid of bringing their rock punk sides in front of the world. Most of them go for dramatic effect. In theatrics, this kind of emo makeup is very popular. So if you want to bring out the emo punk look in you and look beautiful, here are some makeup tips to rock the emo punk look.

Base – Just like in any other makeup routine, you must begin with a clean clear face. Apply primer all over the face, then go for a foundation which is lighter than your skin tone, at least 2 shades. This will add up drama to the makeup look. Dont forget to use concealer on any spots which need concealing. Ensure you look lighter or more pale than your natural complexion.

Blush – As we are going for a pale look, apply a very light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. Any dark bronzer or terracotta blush should be avoided. Add anything lighter than your natural skin tone to get the slight gothic ‘dead’ makeup look.

Eyes – Eyes shadow is not much of importance in this look. However, go ahead and apply a monochromatic eye shadow, be it in beige or you can go for a bit brighter eye shadows.

Eyeliner is of utmost importance when it comes to the emo makeup look. Get a gel eyeliner or liquid eyeliner and draw your eyes thickly both on the upper lash line and lower lash line.

For the mascara, go for a black waterproof mascara and apply several coats of it on your both eye lashes.

Lips – Unlike dark super-gothic makeup look, lips in the emo makeup look should not be very dark or heavy. Pick light pale lip glosses. A nude gloss will work the best for this look.

In the emo punk look, your lips should look very natural and not bold. You may also use a nude or pale lip liner first to draw the lips and then fill it in with a lip gloss or a lipstick.
